Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Manchester

I always go for coffee with my my 2 year old son and friends 3 or 4 times a week .But the manager is not friendly at all, keeps complaining every time when we show up because of my son he is a child sometimes he speaks loud but I manage him to be quiet but this lady always complaining as I know is a free place where everyone can go and have a drink for half an hour I do not stay longer than that but this lady keeps telling me I have to keep my child quiet even though he is playing and having fun with his toys . I’m aware that he might disturb other costumers but I don’t stay there if he don like to stay because even I don’t feel comfortable when he makes noise .But I don’t like the way they keep telling me how to educate a 2 year old all that she knows very well that I leave when my son starts to be noisy .It looks like this lady doesn’t like kids but is not my fault for that if this lady don’t like noise she can quit and leave the place to someone else because a coffee shop isn’t quiet at all people speak loud and make noise but I don’t complain because if I want peace stay at home don’t go to a coffee shop . I want leave it with this review I will complain to the owner and take other action about this because isn’t the first time this happened . I’m very disappointed with this manager because she keeps complaining for a two year old .And this happened only when the lady is in,other days is fine other staff members are nice...

Came in on 31/07/25 to grab some food and a coffee which is usual for me as I’ve been coming here for years and never had problems but on this occasion it wasn’t the best. I ordered a latte and had a toastie. But was waiting quite a while cause the blonde lady was stood bitching to another woman in the queue saying how much she hates her job and wants to leave and she has too much going on and doesn’t have to time to deal with rude customers and team member.. Then when she served me she was rushing me to choose because there was a queue. It was all very rushed the drink didn’t taste great at all it was like the milk was burnt and my toastie was all wet underneath at the bottom. I normally have amazing service in this store in general I don’t know...

The place is beautiful, but unfortunately I came to this branch more than once because it is close to my house, but because of the crowded faces of the employees, they make me feel uncomfortable, as if they are forced to work and their way. It's very rude. I brought almond milk with me one day because I am allergic to lactose and coconut, and I asked her to put the almond milk I brought with me, but she refused with contempt and sarcasm. I don't have a problem with the laws and that they can't add outside milk. I respect that, but I wish you would tell me the no in a better and more subtle way, and not with sarcasm and disdain. So I started going to another branch, although it is far from my house, but I prefer it because of the positivity and fun...
