I was charged different rates for a flat whate with an extra shot of coffee every time, and today I was charged almost double the amount. I agreed with Henry, a waiter there, for a free coffee next time. Caroline ''The owner'' (that is at least what she claimed to be), eventually came to me, with an aggressive tone and clearly anger that I raised the matter with other barristers, that she wants to understand what happened. After I showed her my online banking and how I was charged 6.72 quid for a flat white with an extra shot instead of the usual 3.40, she said the price was actually okay. So 6.72 quid for a flat white with an exstra shot was okay, and they usually charged me 3.40? The flat white in their website is 2.8 quid, so an extra shot of coffee cost 3.70 quid, more than the flat white itself, which already has two shots? She asked me to leave after I told her that she came across as rude. Just charge people the right amount...

Very good. Visited for a late lunch and a glass of wine. Found out about this place after searching for a certain bottle of wine. They have a great selection for purchasing to take home as well as a small provisions selection like chocolate and granola. The food we had was good, I think the offerings were all veggie which is fine with us even tho we’re not. All cooked with care and attention in front of us. Would just have liked a fraction more salt and there was none on the table. There seemed to be only two people who worked there - one serving and one cooking so it was a nice relaxed pace for a Sunday. £100 for three of us, one glass...

Spent a few weeks back in Manchester, this is legit the best food I ate by far. These two lovely ladies just get it perfectly right. Wine selection is superb, all low intervention natural and pretty fresh. Some rarer French labels expertly explained and selected. Food was wow. No meat on the menu but seriously doesn’t need it. Delicate flavours and amazing use of cheese in dishes- the potatoes are knock out you will want another portion I guarantee. It would sit in any big city, London, Paris, Hong Kong, New York, but those who are nearby consider yourselves lucky this is in levenshulme of all places....
