Levenshulme Manchester — Restaurant in Manchester

Had a really negative experience here last night when I went in looking for help. I'm not from the area and was meeting friends for a curry. Inadvertently left my phone at home and couldn't remember the name of the restaurant . Walked both ways of Stockport Road hoping to spot the restaurant to jog my memory. In the meantime my friends were frantically trying to contact me. All I needed to do was have the use of someone's phone to log onto messenger to find out where they were. Treated with suspicion and hostility by thd bar girl and a guy drinking at the bar who she thought might help. I'm a five foot tall middle aged woman, whaf on earth did they think I was going to do and what the hell is wrong...

I had only been in this pub once prior to lockdown however since opening it has become my second home. Chris & Colin run it perfectly especially when they are coming to terms with “new normal” after only just taking over the pub. Kelly behind the bar is lovely and makes you feel welcome... perfect team alongside Chris and Colin. As an ex pub manager I can honestly say, this is the best pub I’ve been in, in years! The community spirit in which they provide is beautiful to see too, walking the streets around the area during lockdown, dressed as a teddy. It really does show what wonderful people they are. Absolutely love The New Levenshulme!

Had an awful experience in a bar further down from here, needed some cheering up and decided to come in here after walking past. The pub was really busy, but the bar staff were very organised, we were served in a couple of minutes, really friendly staff and patrons. Fantastic atmosphere, everyone was chatting to everyone and music being played got everyone singing along. Will definitely be coming back here, 100% recommended. Thank you for saving...
