Pitmaster is a hidden gem that promises an extraordinary dining experience, and it certainly delivers on every front. From the moment you step through the doors, you are greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both elegant and homely.
Ambiance The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between casual comfort and sophisticated elegance. Soft lighting, tasteful decor, and a soothing color palette create a relaxing environment ideal for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings. The subtle background music complements the mood without overpowering conversation, adding to the overall charm.
Service The service at Savory Delights is exemplary. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Our server, Jamie, went above and beyond to accommodate dietary preferences and made thoughtful recommendations that enhanced our meal.
Food The menu is a celebration of culinary artistry. Every dish is meticulously crafted using the freshest ingredients, and the presentation is nothing short of spectacular. We started with the truffle-infused mushroom soup, which was a creamy, flavorful delight that set the tone for the rest of the evening.
For the main course, the braised short ribs were tender and succulent, paired perfectly with a rich, velvety red wine reduction. The accompanying garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and seasoned to perfection. My companion opted for the seafood risotto, which was a symphony of flavors with perfectly cooked prawns, scallops, and a hint of saffron.
Dessert was an absolute highlight. The chocolate lava cake, with its gooey center and crisp outer layer, was decadently delicious. The raspberry coulis added a refreshing contrast, making each bite pure bliss.
Drinks The beverage selection is extensive, featuring an impressive array of wines, craft beers, and creative cocktails. The mixologist crafted a bespoke cocktail tailored to our preferences, which was a delightful and personalized touch.

Read moreIncredibly overrated. Tried the brisket loaded fries with a burger (can't remember the name, it was £16.00 on its own). Waited around 15 minutes in the queue (not a particularly bad thing, they were extremely busy and seemed to handle the traffic of customers well). We were served our food around 20 minutes after ordering, which again, wasn't a problem. I was expecting to wait even longer based on the number of orders coming in. The food arrived and looked incredibly mediocre. The brisket on the loaded fries was not warm or anything close to it, in fact it was cold. The fries were lackluster and the cheapy and artificial tasting nacho cheese felt like it didn't belong there. The only thing which saved it was the Red Hot Sauce bottle, one on every table. This added well needed flavour to the dish and counteracted the overpowering cheese. Consuming the food did result in a dodgy stomach. The burger looked nothing like the picture displayed on the menu (they never do, no big deal), however it paled in comparison, size wise, to £3.00 burgers from a random store. The taste itself was decent and I'm pleased to say the burger and its contents were warm, which is the only thing holding me back from a lower rating. It was definitely not worth £16.00 however. The service was on point and the staff were friendly, so no complaints there. Overall disappointing and I would not come back if I was to visit Manchester again, unless the menu was to change. It seems odd that the establishment is reviewed so highly, perhaps we just got a bad batch of food or there were too many customers to uphold the normal quality, however this shouldn't be an excuse and I hope management or someone with significant power sees this and takes this review into account.
EDIT: It seems I could have changed the nacho cheese to peppercorn sauce or another condiment, so my complaints with regards to it are somewhat invalid, however I wish it was made more clear that this was possible, unless I...
Read moreAfter watching numerous TikTok videos I’d literally been itching to try this place out. We even travelled 1hr30mins to get here! From speaking to the friendly lad at the counter and from our hunger levels, we were talked into ordering 2x Special Brisket burgers, 1x chips, 1x Mac & cheese and 2x Cokes for £44. Needless to say, we were both super excited and really looking forward to the burgers. They were described by the staff as being MASSIVE and the biggest that they do!! I should’ve taken note of the glasses the guy was wearing!! (I’ll come back to this later!) We were quoted 20min for food to arrive. This was going to be a LONG 20min.. our mouths were literally watering!! After 40 mins the staff arrived with our food order on a plastic school canteen style tray! I was hoping that this cheap tray wasn’t a sign of things to come. The burgers were wrapped in foil paper, again not really befitting of a £44 burger meal. Upon unwrapping the burger I was greeted by a burger that would easily fit into my hand and which looked nothing like the picture! My fault for not noting the dude’s glasses!!! Disappointment had started to set in. I’m pretty sure these guys use the same photographer as Maccys!!! Upon first bite, the brisket was hard and chewy, like I was chewing an old leather boot.. definitely not succulent or juicy. The burger was bland. The Mac & Cheese was actually Mac/Cheese bites.. so I sent these back as I didn’t order those. The chips were actually decent and had good flavour and crunch. I’ve had a much better burger for £6! After finishing our meal, we were both still hungry so we visited another local fast food joint to complete our eating out session. I have to say, extremely disappointed is an understatement. I wouldn’t recommend here and I definitely won’t be visiting again. Save your money and go elsewhere for...
