Dining for the 2nd time here. Cannot recall if i reviewed the previous time. Better experience this time, in terms of food. Staff are smiley and nice, both vists. Heena and the other girl were really helpful today, and pleasant. I think pleasantries make all the difference.

The food, erm, its just average like every other place, but i think its the whole experience, rather than the food itself.

Ordered indian thaal and Sliders. Nice concept with the mini sliders, they were ok 7/10. The indian/desi thaali was 6/10 and that is for portion size.. erm, so, for the price, honestly speaking, one would expect a bit more effort in terms of freshly made food. The indian thaali came with : -omlette which had a good flavour, baked beans- a bit meh, -Bombay potatoes, again idk, i was expecting something a little different other than baby potatoes covered in mustard seeds, -and some mango pulp. I mean the mango pulp adds a variation to the usual desi breakfast, but otherwise, doesn't add anything else. The portion size was really good value compared to other places, but the contents of the thaali... hmm. I suppose its ok for a vegetarian.

Oh yeh, and desi tea, which was 10/10, served in cute little glass cups.

Would i return - 🤔 the service is good, and its a pretty place, the food was a disappointment the first time (i am sure i have reviewed..if not, i ordered the chicken stir-fried rice, it was 2/10, worst thing i have had after Sibu in Batley 🤢. my friends ordered the sliders and liked them) and 2nd trying something different, improved...

I recently visited this place, the decor was elegant, unfortunately, that was the only highlight of our experience. I ordered the queen cake with custard, which was supposed to be a vanilla and raspberry compote cake. However, what I received was just a plain sponge cake smothered in whipped cream with a single raspberry on top—nothing like the description. I also ordered a Karak Chai, which turned out to be just plain tea. (imagine English tea with no sugar).Despite being offered a remake with stronger karak flavors, the second attempt was still just plain tea, with no trace of the usual cardamom or cinnamon flavors that are typical in Karak Chai. My husband ordered a caramel milkshake, but it was essentially just plain vanilla milkshake with caramel syrup—extremely sweet and not what we expected. The portion was small for £5 as well. They kindly exchanged it for a strawberry milkshake, but it simply tasted like strawberry milk. We really wanted to enjoy our visit, but after two failed attempts with the tea and the lackluster food, we ended up going elsewhere. The only redeeming factors were the lovely decor and friendly customer service. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback on board and makes improvements to match the standards one...

Absolutely horrible service. If there was a more disgusting way to put it I would. The staff don't have half a brain cell between them.

Walked in to the staff acting extremely cold. Food came and my son started to be sick. Two of the colleagues proceed to talk amongst themselves whilst I was kindly asking for help. One came over and put a tissue on his sick and left. Continued talking. My son continued to be sick with the smell. The two colleagues were chatting away watching me As I struggled with my son, just nodding every time I asked for help. As I was holding him I asked two three times for help and she didn't move and inch. He continued being sick and she just about moved like a snail to help. By that point the sick was everywhere and not once did they offer proper help.

Overall an absolutely horrible visit! I just paid and left, they didn't acknowledge that I didn't eat or that I was clearly harassed. Would never step foot here again.

Edit: how the owner has apologised yet totally lied that his staff did anything to promptly help us beyond me. "Sorry for this but they did do what you're saying they didn't?!" Just doesn't make sense. ÂŁ50...

I came here with a large group. The food was absolutely delicious - I really can’t fault it. Decor is beautiful too however the staff just felt a bit uneasy. It was like everything I asked for was going to be very difficult for them to do (I really wasn’t being fussy or awkward). When it came time to pay the bill, I was told we couldn’t split the bill which was a real pain considering there was 10 of us with a bill of £150. After a lot of faffing around their card machine crashed but somehow was still accepting Apple/Google pay (It really felt like they were just messing us about at this point because why would Apple Pay work but not contactless??!) Anyway I ended up paying the entire bill and getting my friends to transfer me money but we spent the better part of half hour after we’d eaten trying to pay. I really did expect faster service especially considering how well established RF is. Staff were apologetic but I just wanted to be out of there by the end of it and I could sense other patrons getting disturbed by the amount of to and fro happening at our table.

As much as this place is hyped, we were looking forward to coming now that it has opened in Mcr. However the food was a bit lackluster. Chicken tenders were dry and overcooked and bar the coating having a little flavour the chicken inside was tasteless- this also does not even come with a side sauce. The samosa chaat- came in 2 bowls in the portion- but no yoghurt, the samosa was tiny the majority of the chaat was just chopped up peppers that were way too much and tasteless. A dot of imli on top but nothing to bring the dish together so made it very dry and difficult to eat. Asked for non chilli raita to add to the chaat but all they had was mint yoghurt- this was extremely spicy and given to us warm. The chips were ok a little undercooked/not crispy. The sauces were given in plastic tubs, the ketchup was fake and looked more like a sweet chilli sauce. The best part of the meal was the mocktail and smoothie but ÂŁ11 for two drinks that are full of ice is quite dear.

If you have heard the hype about this place and want to visit it, my suggestion would be not to bother about it. At best, the food is average. No reservation policy. Ridiculous waiting times and the place is an epitome of mismanagement. Staff had no clue what they were doing. Waiting estimate of 35 mins changed to over an hour. When someone in queue next to us complained, staff was trying hard to coin excuses and we did not hear the word 'apology' even once. Table waiting time of 13 min was easily 40 minutes. Food was cold. The only decent thing was 'karak chai'. Food did not rise above the average mark. Cutlery was not provided for every one on table and we had to ask a few times. Cutlery was not cleaned properly. See the attached picture of spoon with uncleaned spots. Not recommended at all. The waiting area in the basement wasn't properly ventilated and my asthmatic wife struggled breathing after sitting there waiting for an hour.
