A stop off before hitting the Trafford centre, decided to hit an old fav, these days I swerve and go rusholme chippy but fancied some Donner so here we are

Ps boss man is proper sound šŸ‘šŸ»

Meat/Meats -

Donner: It’s the slightly red type but has a similar texture to mazaas, can seem dry but I think it’s because it’s quite meaty. I do order a bit of moisture there but not the stuff drowned in sauce to cover up the flavour. Tasty but had better

Chicken tikka: proper tasty nice level of spices and flavour and cooked well with some charring, lovely

8/10

Bread - freshly made by boss mans assistant, however it was a bit thin and didn’t have them charred fluffy pockets, all in all was a little small but still nice. Could be better

7/10

Accompaniments (Salads & Sauces) - Plenty of fresh salad choices to keep everyone happy, I liked they had the red pickled type onions but also raw red for crunchyness The best thing was the pickled chillis, most places taste the same but here was really big and juicy...very nice

Sauces:

Chilli sauce was very potent the way I like it šŸ”„ but it didn’t have a lot of flavour to go with the heat Yogurt sauce was nice but a bit runny in consistency Sort that out and you’re on a winner

8/10

Value -

7.90 with a can of rubicon seemed steep tbh, should be a 5-6 quid effort

7/10

Eatability -

Because the yoghurt sauce was so runny, it ran out everywhere, however I do always smash the donner as a starter with the first lot of sauces then load it up again with the salad and more sauce roll it up and smash the chicken in naan...standard procedure I’m messy as, so I won’t be as harsh...but sort that yogurt sauce out boss man

8/10

Overall score- 38/50

Conclusion- decent, I’m just stingy with the scores šŸ˜‚ Worth hitting and much better than some of the other...

We came today long way from deans gate to wimslow road to have proper asian (desi) style food, 1stly we want to sit up stairs but the lady on front line wear black formal outfit denied 2ndly while ordering the food i asked about the taste and difference between the chicken lahori karai, is it similar or its totally diffrent from individuals Menu as we ordered chicken, samosa chat, naan and coke She started to give explaintion about the prices, this isnt i was asking. 3rdly, i told her to do bit spicy for chicken. The samosa chat was good but when we took the 1st bit of our main course, terribly spicy it was just give the taste of chillies. As we were only customers for the whole resturant. The 4 people cant handle 2 of them? The even worse was jobseekers were coming to ask about the jobs as we all hve diffrent acents, the front line lady couldnt understand what she was saying.. and started making fun of them when they were out. Inappropriate behaviour on till with the guy name sunny she was laughing terribly how pethatic and disgusting, how unproffesional is that as you made spicy but not even asking about the food service they were making fun of us by gossping it. We became so uncomfortable. The even worse was when we payed our bill as we complained about it. But the sunny named man just said OK I TOOK YOU COMPLAIN. we have paid around £30. Instead giving an explaination the lady started giving a creepy smile. Worst...

My Husband and I booked a table for 3 for Iftaar for us and our toddler. We were seated on a very crammed small table which looked like a table for 1 in my opinion. I am also 5 months pregnant for context.

It was a busy ramadhan evening and can totally understand how busy and stressful it can get at such a time. However, it is not appropriate to overbook if unable to cater for space.

We were fasting and travelled a hour on the day for this booking. We ordered the Tawa, gol gappay and Chaat. The Tawa comes extremely hot and took all of the table space, barely anywhere to squeeze in our dinner plates, drinks or anywhere to put a plate for my toddler. I literally had my dinner plate in my lap!

She did end up touching the tawa and burning her finger - tried to avoid as much as possible and did warn the people who placed us at this table about the safety hazard.

The food was nice but felt this whole experience ruined the meal for me.

We expressed our concerns and dissatisfaction numerous times and no one seemed to care. We would have left but had practically no chance of getting a table anywhere else due to being iftaar time.

Don’t think I’ll ever...

Yesterday i had a mixed experience from visiting Camel One! First of all we didn’t realise it’s an Indian Restaurant, thought it’s Afghani/Turkish restaurant. However, when we saw the Pakistani flag we were confused where we're now! Though, these are not important. Camel one is gorgeously decorative, color combination and atmosphere inside is maybe not the finest, but definitely upto the mark. Comes to food, we ordered Tawa for 2, it was mouthwatering, truly. Lamb chops were small, could be more well done. Can't complain about the food as it was more than enough for two person. Let's talk about service. Maybe only the manger can take orders! Such a weird thing i've realised. We were told to be seated in a tiny table but wherever we ordered our food the changed our table to a bigger one which we really appreciate. But there were staff's who might take orders, waited for their manager to come and deal with this. However, no problem with that. Service could be much better in terms of different ethics. Overall, my personal experience was fantastic. Really loved it. Definitely gonna come again.
