I tried hard not to leave low/bad reviews but I have to give this one a bad review. I ordered ogbono soup and it looked as if water was added to increase the quantity but yet it was still very small as if they scraped leftover from the pot. Soup for abula I ordered was terrible! It looked and tasted like only palm oil. I tried to contact the restaurant to complain but no response, I even sent a text message to them and no one got back to me. You guys better contact me and compensate me because I feel like you have robbed me

I visited Ya Koyo hoping for a satisfying meal but unfortunately I was disappointed. I ordered okro soup and pounded yam and neither met my expectations. The soup had no flavor and was overly oily, making it unpleasant to eat. The pounded yam had a mushy, mashed potato-like consistency which is far from the smooth, stretchy texture it should have. Based on this experience,I do not recommend this establishment. Thank you

Although the service was very poor, I will give the food 10/10. The guy (Ola) who attended to us was particularly not customer friendly, the ambient was also not picture perfect and the place was too hot for human habitation. I will recommend Abula, ayamashe and Ewa agonyin

11th/05. Coming from London my last visit with a group of friends was amazing so I felt like going back again. When I got there it was rather unfortunate there was some maintenance work going on. So, all orders were done as takeout. Not very familiar with the menu, I asked this kind young lady at the reception what they had. She tried to tell me but couldn’t list them all. she asked the cook on duty who was near what the specials for the day was. This cook was so rude I almost walked out she said to the lady “let the customer order whatever” but she said do we not have specials for today? they cook answered we have. The young lady “so what is it? . And immediately the cook got so angry and started screaming at her even the guys working at the maintenance had to walk up to the young lady and talked her to be the responsible person because the cook was acting so unprofessional. This lady came up to me and tried to apologise for the inconvenience very mature of her, I also heard the cook calling on phone to the person in charge and was lying about the lady meanwhile all she did was ask about the menu for the day. This cook might be good at what she does but she needs a lot of professional teaching to do. The 2 stars are just for the way the receptionist handle herself and tried her best to stay professional if not of her I would have walked out. The experience I had when I came the last time I felt so bad I did not have the same experience I just wanted to taste some...

Visited Manchester 19th February and decided to get a take away from yakoyo restaurant on Kenyon Lane in Manchester as we enjoyed their food the last time we visited but this time around the food we ordered was not very tasty at all, the jollof rice taste like too much tomato, very oily at the bottom and hard rice, and the oha soup hmmmmmm can barely see any oha leaf, I wonder if it was actually oha leaf, and after eating I felt nauseous, never will I patronise you again. And the restaurant smells of food, sitting there to eat in is not a good idea as you will be smelling of fish/food afterwards. They need to do something about the food smell, I know is restaurant but please do...

Okay so, I am a foodie, I literally hunt for the best places to eat wherever I travel, and I am very picky when it comes to my African food; so I searched for a long time and gave this restaurant a try. First of all: -the food is FRESH -it is REAL African food -IT TASTES absolutely amazing -and the PORTIONS are just perfect. The ladies there prepare everything from scratch, and mind you these dishes need time and patience to be cooked and these ladies don’t disappoint. I have found MY NEW AFRICAN RESTAURANT in Manchester. Give it a try You won’t be disappointed, if you need they’ll explain to you what is what. Also the place is modest but gives a little African ambiance that is worth...
