Purchased a PARTY BUCKET from “Mansfield Nottingham Road” for £35.99 which contains 10 assorted pieces of original recipe chicken among other things, you usually get a mixture of original chicken including breasts, thighs, drum sticks etc, when I arrived home yes there was 10 pieces of chicken but 8 pieces drum sticks and 2 pieces thighs, “DRUM STICKS are one the cheapest parts of the chicken” you usually get 2/3 pieces drum sticks, so within 8/10 minutes of leaving KFC I telephoned them and explained the problem, I was told that you get what they have available at the time I told them I wasn’t happy with that and was coming back for them to exchange them, I was back at KFC within 5 minutes of the telephone call arrived back at KFC, you could tell they were expecting me a person may be the manager was at the pay window ready straight away he told me did you ask for the type of chicken pieces you required “I WAS STUNNED” this made me so angry been using KFC take away and restaurants for over 40 years all over the country and NEVER been asked that question before NEVER, I told him I wasn’t happy with receiving 8 drum sticks, but he kept on telling me you get what is available at the time and I mentioned that I had to wait over 10 minutes for my order which he replied the wait was for another part of the order, and once again he told me that I didn’t request the chicken pieces I wanted “NETHER BEFORE BEEN ASKED THIS QUESTION”, so I told I will have 10 pieces of chicken beasts his reply we can’t do that, so I said do me a mixture, his reply this will take 30 minutes, no problem I said I will wait, so having 30 minutes to kill I went to Mc Donald’s for a drink only 5 minutes walk and left my car at the pay window, the person “MANAGER ?” I think who I had been talking too shouted to me to move my car, I told him I would move it when I get my replacement, he replied saying that he was calling the police which I replied ok, 10/15 minutes later I returned to my car and the same person said that he could give me 6 pieces of original chicken breast and 4 assorted other pieces, 4/5 minutes later he gave me the bucket of chicken, I said to him, on receiving the bucket “NOT ONCE BUT TWICE THANK YOU” he nether said anything any kind of apologises for what had happened, that is poor manage the staff should be trained into looking after their customers, the staff need training with customer service.

Read moreI'm not a moaner and I appreciate its the festive season. Myself, my wife and my daughter went to KFC for a quick bite to eat as we couldn't be bothered to cook. The place was practically empty as you would expect with it being Boxing Day. However, you would expect the staff to be more attentive as there is less customers to cater for. We ordered a meal each and were told that there was only cans of drink available as they had no cups. Not acceptable in my opinion. We paid cash for the meals which came to £21.96 and we handed over £25. £3.04 pence change was due to which we were told we haven't got the 4 p change so will you just accept the £3. Again, unacceptable in my opinion. We went to sit down to wait for our meal to be ready and had to clean our own table. I actually had to go and ask for a cloth and some spray to clean the table as it was dirty. All the other tables appeared to be the same. Unacceptable. There were 2 bags of rubbish inside the entrance doors which should have been taken straight out to the bins but instead were left in full view of anyone that visits the restaurant. Again, unacceptable. My final observation is that the staff seem to have an average age of about 19. There doesn't appear to be any mature management or leadership and this shows in the fact that the staff all just seem to be stood around laughing, joking and swearing. Again, unacceptable in my humble opinion. I long for a return to the days when staff wanted to work for a decent wage but I fear that will never again be the case as companies are now only interested in profits above everything else. Read moreAVOID!!!!! Visited KFC Mansfield Nottingham Road branch to collect food from inside to take home. Haven’t been for many years and now I know why! Spent £34 and my partner had what looked to be a pubic hair in her chicken rice box mixed in on opening. My partner rang to complain and the ‘so called’ manager said that she could return and collect her £5.99 refund. When she asked for a couple of quid on top for diesel to go back and collect the refund they refused. To be clear, we weren't asking for a full refund! They also refused for another method of providing the refund so that we weren’t inconvenienced any further. I say the ‘so called’ manager because she had to speak to some-else first and then refused to give her name when she was told this would be taken further. They already had £34 so I think a heartfelt apology and £8 refund was more than acceptable for inedible food and inconvenience caused due to their cleanliness issues. The food was untouched and I was more than happy to give it back! Common sense did not prevail in this instance….
