We had a strange experience. We turned up on Saturday - you know the day England won 4-0? Well we turned up at 5:30 - two and a half hours before kick off. The pub didn't have many people inside and the outside only had a few tables occupied. My partner went in to order but it's table service only (fair play) so we sat outside. The server came out and quite rudely told us the pub was fully booked so we couldn't stay long - erm ok we've only popped in for one before going elsewhere to watch the game and there's actually no one here at the minute. She then proceeds to tell us that quite frankly she doesn't have time to serve outside because they've only got two staff on. (Who does this for an England game?? And again there are very few people in the pub at this time) She then wants us to track and trace ( no issue) but the pub does not provide an alternative other than the NHS app which I don't have and asked for the paper alternative. The last time I visited was a Friday there was a male bar staff on who was great and there was a dj on and his female assistant, she was doing all the talking or should I say shouting calling people names, which the dj was laughing at and encouraging.
