The Brown Cow — Restaurant in Mansfield

I’ve been going to this pub for a while and yes the beers are great as are the whisky’s and selection of nibbles. But ........ everytime I go to this pub I have an issue with what I am charged. I’ve been over charged, I’ve had a double transaction go out when I’ve used Apple Pay, ie charged twice for my round. When we drink in rounds seldom are to the rounds the same price. There has been times where the price varience between who’s bought the round has been as much as a nearly £3. Quite frankly I’m angry about it too. I love the pub but am going to give the place a wide birth for a bit. Sad as it’s a great pub but it needs a landlord or manager to...

Best pub in Mansfield!!!!! Especially for real ales and craft beers. Always a nice, warm welcome upon entering and also is very dog friendly. Has a good selection of everything, to spirits, wines and ciders. Doesn't do food but has a wide range of bar snacks. Nuts, crisps, scratchings etc. Live music most weekends and a Sunday Social every sunday from 7pm. A quiz every Wednesday from 8.30pm.

They have the 'Cow Shed' upstairs which is available to hire out for birthday's, baby showers, small wedding receptions etc..

All in all, a fantastic pub, with a friendly and unique setting to cater everyone. Get yourself down...

Had to update my review. I can no longer give the Cow 5 stars. I absolutely adore this pub, beer is good, food is good, atmosphere is good. However there is one staff member who has really let the side down. They are rude, unhelpful and obnoxious. If they are working it puts us in a real dilema as to whether we go in or not.
