Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Mansfield

We went for lunch today , the cafe looked a mess with lots of tables uncleared , not very inviting . I had to retreive a order number from a pervious customers table as there where none at the order stations . drinks where served on a dirty tray with dirty glasses that we had to get changed. You used to be able to see out of the window but this has been covered in a stark white plastic, floors are dirty , food was very average , scampi overcooked in old oil, peas cold , chicken burger cold . This used to be a lovely cafe with good food but not now , profit before service, the staff are lovely & overworked , I feel sorry for them having to now work in...

I cannot state this enough. Avoid the fish and chips. Its one of the more expensive food options and I swear they must have put it in the coffin with my grandma when she was cremated. It was about as edible as blended cat litter and about as flavourful. I've no doubt that in the morning I'm probably going to spew out of both ends. Went for a coffee and a bite to eat prior to collecting some glasses and doing a bit of shopping. Tracey behind the counter was friendly, bubbly and knowledgeable. Tracey was also aware of her regular customers and knew what they were going to order.
