The Stag & Pheasant - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in Mansfield

So me and my mate go into here tonight at mansfield go to the bar and are waiting to be served and this fella comes behind and the barmaid then bypasses us to serve this fella as she obviously knows him and the other barmaid bypasses us and serves someone who just come in so my mate turns to the guy behind and asks are u seeing her cos we was ere before u he just looked at my mate then looked at the barmaid and nodded.then the next minute we knew the bouncer was next to my mate and asked her to leave. My mate asked the bouncer why wat ave i done but the bouncer just kept saying the barstaff ave asked me to ask you to leave my mate kept saying why what ave i done.The bouncer couldn't give her a reason.Then the female bouncer tapped me on the shoulder and said we had to leave so i asked why wat have we done and she then accused my mate of taking drugs and escorted us to the main entrance i was gobsmacked and said to the female bouncer my mate is 47 years old single parent with 2 kids and has never touched drugs in her life but they wouldnt have it and still proceeded to ask us to leave. Never in all my life have i ever experienced anything like this the barstaff should go and do more training in customer service and how to treat another human being and not take preference on serving her friends first when blatently was obvious we was there first how rude the barmaid was and we had done nothing wrong i have worked in pubs myself and you just dont do this. We have always gone in to ave food and never had a problem we havent been in at night for ages and we go in for a change and this is what happens you should be ashamed with ur barstaff and bouncers for treating us like this and will not be stepping a foot in this establishment again you must be so proud absolutely discusting and the staff should be repremanded for it cos you not goin to get gd reviews with barstaff like that and customer relations down to a...

Welcome to the stag and Pheasant!!!

Extremely racist and rude staff, a blonde old woman, a young manager (woman) and another young woman with dark hair (who ended up gossiping about us, as soon as we were leaving). Talking bad to us because we were foreigners...while I was trying to order two drinks and some food. The old blonde woman tried to accuse me I was under age when I'm nearly 25, my mum who was there is nearly 50 and my son who is 1 y old was with us and needed to have some food and outside it was freezing. My poor mother was trying to pay struggling with her English was treated horrible. They in a rude way told her they wouldn't sell her anything as I was under age (I'm nearly 25!), normally I would take it as a compliment but this time It was such a disgusting experience and we used to go there with my partner but now they lost 4 costumers and probably more as my friends and family will know about this place.

The only man who was working was super chilled. Didn't get involved and kept serving other costumers.

I would check who I place as a manager as doesn't know anything about costumer service and how to be polite and not racist. By the way I'm a manager, receptionist and secretary myself. Where do I begin? First me and my friends, whilst celebrating a birthday, were mocked by the bar staff for the amount we were drinking ( there were ten of us and we had five pitchers, bearing in mind that it is common knowledge that each pitcher is mainly ice) after being ridiculed from the wait staff for our alcohol we were also interrogated and berated for our food order of which they first refused to give us, despite it already being paid for. Several minutes later the same waiter approached us with our food order stating that they had to give us the food or it would be throw away and wasted, in an attempt to make us feel guilty for the food we ordered. In conclusion, the behaviour of the staff within Stag and Pheasant was immature and unprofessional, they, within an hour managed to ruin a birthday celebration and made every member of my table feel humiliated and guilty for ordering food and drinks. It was unacceptable and quite frankly just rude. This experience has really persuaded me to only dine at Widow Frost as it is much more fitting to an adult environment and lacks juvenile employees. I do hope that the owners of Stag and Pheasant will upgrade the quality of their staff as the restraint itself does have potential, it’s just too bad that the staff not only give Stag and Pheasant a poor reputation, but also the...
