On Wednesday 18 November my wife and I went to see the absolutely fabulous matinee "Neil Sand's Christmas Memories" at the lovely Palace Theatre, Mansfield where we received a very warm welcome. What an absolutely amazing show, the atmosphere was electric and the audience truly spellbound. It must surely be the best Christmas show ever! It recreated brilliantly songs and humour from days gone by. I am sure that only Neil Sands and his fabulous team of Gemma, Chelsea, Jim and Phil could put together such a terrific show where, as if by magic, we were nostalgically transported back in time to the really happy Christmases of times gone by. It's certainly a show not to be missed, it was so good we've booked to see it again at Hornchurch in December. We enjoyed our first visit to the Palace Theatre so much that we went again on Friday 20 November to see "Roy Orbison and Friends" which was another...

Once a cinema, Mansfield Palace Theatre is at the very heart of this lively East Midlands town. Last night saw a full house for the senior youth theatre's production of Willy Russell's 'Our Day Out' about a coach trip for the 'special needs' class that nearly ends in disaster. It's on for one more night, but even if you miss this show you should make the effort to see at least something from the Palace's wide-ranging programme. Whether it's a tribute to a famous band or a showcase for local dance schools, or a big-name pantomime (not just at Christmas), you owe it to yourself to soak up the friendly atmosphere in the foyer or in the bar, before settling down to the show of your choice in the cozy auditorium. It may be a cliché, but you definitely...

This lovely smaller theatre is a treasure. It has wonderfully friendly helpful staff. Caters well for disability, nothing is to much trouble. Always a treat with exceptional shows appealing to a wide arrange of people . The atmosphere never fails to delight, it is a lovely building with the museum attached. It is well worth the visit. I have seen many main stream shows here without all the hype and crowds, although attendance is always high. My children have seen magical, heart warming stories unfold ,and their faces say it all. This is a very special theatre that is up there competing with much larger, more expensive theatres and holding its own beautifully with ease. Highly recommend a visit ,especially at...

Really overwhelmed with how good this years Palace theatres pantomime is! All the setting & costumes magical & beautiful! Every character could really belt out a tune! Especially Prince Philip & the King what voice! (The king being my personal favourite character what a hottie! 😘) Its fair to say the lads stole the show this year, with nanny & her cheeky potty mouth & Mansfields answer to Ryan Reynolds aka Adam Moss! Bang on with the one liners! And all the music choices being absolute bangers! Well done everyone involved👌 we had a fantastic afternoon! Fab to see the Palace ram pack full as it should be!

We go to the pantomime here every year on our wedding anniversary. OH YES WE DO! This year's production raised the bar yet again. The singing and dancing were amazing, the sets were stupendous, and the costumes first class. The cast were all on their A-game, led as ever by the outstanding Adam Moss. Can't wait for Aladdin next year. We've already bought our tickets. PS. The theatre staff are excellent too. I just wish more attendees would take their rubbish away with them instead of leaving it for the staff to pick up.

My partner and I went to see AC/DC Livewire Tribute Band on June 24th 2023. What can I say. I was blown away ... If you've never been to see this Band make it your mission in life to do so. Absolutely brilliant, they put their hearts and souls into the performance and it didn't dissapoint. Mansfield Palace Theatre was clean and the staff were very helpful. Plenty of leg room. If I had something bad to say it would just be that it got so hot in there, but we were all in the same boat, so it didn't matter. 🙂
