I wanted to try the new Turkish restaurant, which was quiet when we arrived, and wasn’t a surprise since the restaurant only opened last week. We placed our order and got one of our starters which we planned to share - the jalapeño and cheese dish, which was tasty. The hummus we ordered didn’t arrive and when our main course arrived we had to ask for the humus. When it came it didn’t come with anything so we had to ask for some bread to go with it. I have to say, the Turkish bread was really nice. We wanted tap water which they couldn’t give us and brought a plastic bottle of water. I didn’t realise when I booked that they weren’t licenced, so there wasn’t much choice of drinks. For mains we ordered chicken shish with fries and Aduna lamb kebab with rice. We got the chicken with rice and the lamb with chips! The accompanying salad was good, but the chicken was overcooked and dry and the lamb was under-seasoned! It was reminiscent of Faulty Towers because the waiter would ask if you’re ready to order and then had to go and get his pad to write down your order. We saw him do this with the people at the next couple of tables. Why didn’t he take his pad with him in the first place?? When the bill came the prices displayed on the menu didn’t include VAT so there was 20% added to the total. That’s definitely not legal! I can’t say we will be rushing back there. The food was...
Read moreWent for a meal on Monday evening, I have to say the food was some of the best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean fare I’ve had by far, including in the Middle East!! The food was flavoursome & spiced beautifully. The restaurant was decorated wonderfully with the usual “bling” associated with the Middle East also clean & well lit. I wouldn’t recommend sitting to near the door as the catch is probably not strong enough to hold the door shut, a slight breeze leads to the door opening & a draft. The only thing that let them down a bit, was the service, not the waiters however, they were wonderful! This business was only 10 days old when we visited & having spent years in the hospitality business it takes time to “iron out the wrinkles”, the service was a bit disjointed, simple things like drink order taken when menus delivered, served in the glass with the option of ice & lemon instead of can plonked on the table, just the little things. As this a BYO, I do think the “corkage” on wine, prosecco or champagne (only drinks allowed) at £10 per bit steep, but in fairness I have no experience of BYO. All said we would...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the new Turkish restaurant in town, and I have to say—it exceeded my expectations on every level. From the moment I walked in, the warm and stylish interior design created a welcoming and authentic atmosphere that set the tone for a great experience.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was full of rich, bold flavors that truly captured the essence of Turkish cuisine. The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, offering great value for the quality and taste.
The restaurant’s location is another major plus—perfectly situated in the heart of town, making it an easy and convenient stop whether you're out for a casual meal or something special. The service was also top-notch; the waitstaff were attentive, polite, and added to the overall positive vibe of the evening.
Whether you're already a fan of Turkish food or just curious to try something new, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely...
