KFC Melton Mowbray - Scalford Road — Restaurant in Melton

On the verge of FOOD POISONING.

Purchased a Tower Burger Meal and Wings.

Staff: Very low energy, slow and untrained. Not much to say about it.

Restaurant: Decently clean for KFC, at least there's no food and sauces all over the floor and tables like one of the restaurants in Leicester. It was pretty quiet, not much customers at the time.

THE FOOD: First of all, I don't think that this franchisee should be allowed to run the a restaurant.

As soon as I walked in, I saw fries pre portioned and sitting on the rack under halogen lights to keep them warm. Same for the wings when I asked for those, the worker looked at how many she's got left on the shelf before saying that I can indeed buy some??.

It took the longest time to get the food. Usually a good KFC place would get it ready in a matter of minutes and have it piping hot and fresh.

But when I got the food, first i tried the fries, they were the same fries i saw sitting on the rack before I even ordered, they were at best WARM. I said okay, its just fries. No biggie.

Then I went to have a bite of the burger. At first bite I immediately noticed the taste of OLD OIL (that was coming out of the chicken piece) that's been in the fryer for way too long. I think everyone would be familiar with the taste.

It tasted nothing like KFC.

Then onto the wings. Terrible. Oily, warm, breading was just filled with oil... I was trying to eat them. 2, 3 wings in, it made me sick, so I threw away the rest.

And finally even the Pepsi I ordered was on the warm side.. they didn't even put ice in it. Which i know is a default unless otherwise specified.

I wouldn't write such a long review if it wasn't truly terrible.

Parent company "YUM!" and their chain of restaurants need a rework from...

I am not happy with the performance of the KFC staff on the date 5th July 2022 at 4pm, firstly there had been an issue regarding the app and using the barcode with the till which I kept my patience and gave the man at the till the benefit of the doubt as you don’t always get things right the first time, then the team leader came over and looked very miserable, he took my order and they apparently did not let me use a student offer to get a mini fillet burger, where i had been forced to use it on a krushem, not even wanting one. Then the food was ready and i took it and sat down inside with it, the food was not to the best quality and was quite poorly given and thought about as i had been given small wings which were left out for long and i was not happy regarding this, i was left unhappy from this kfc as they have given me poor service and the look of not wanting to work there, as this was my first time visiting this place i suggest using an alternative kfc, or in fact mcdonald’s which is not to far from this kfc. It was my first time at this kfc and it was also the first time where i wanted to leave the store as soon as i could as the levels of this place is miles off ‘good’ and...

Served by a lady...I have no problem with her as she missed out my paper plate. No one is perfect. So I return from my car for the paper plate. Politely asked and was ignored the 1st time. As they were busy packing order. Never mind, I asked for 2nd time and was ignored again! Third time, I have to raised my voice and been told off by male staff with ponytail(with no proper cover with hair net)"You don't have to shout"!! And he just throw the plate on the counter and turn away. Fine, but don't even think I'll would visit again.

I don't know was it KFC standard drop or just because of this ponytail male staff! 20years ago I was just a part-time staff and is still table service. Compare to this one the standard is horrendous!!!

Waiting to be serve 15mins, they were 4persons in the queue before me. Waited for 25mins for my order to be ready. And 3 persons after me, get their order first. I can understand 1 of them only small order. Just can't accept the others 2persons order similar with mine but they got their order before me. I was there today 28August at...
