It's been a while since our last visit to The Three Little Pigs and I am pleased to say we were pleasantly surprised when we returned. On previous visits we had found the abundance of paraphernalia adorning the ceiling and walls too overwhelming, but this has now been stripped back to show an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage metal signage and rugby memorabilia. This quirky, fun-loving sense of style has opened up the interior of the pub to reveal a comfortable, spacious area for dining or a decent pint. On sunny days there is outdoor seating both directly at the front of the pub and in the square opposite. It was a lovely, warm evening when we visited and there was a great, almost continental atmosphere outside thanks the happy, friendly vibe. What a difference some decent weather makes to supping a pint outdoors. The menu offers an interesting variety of snack and meal options. Between us we enjoyed the pate, tempura prawns, and deep-fried brie for starters. Good, decent size portions and each was delicious. For mains we chose spinach and ricotta cannelloni, scampi, goats cheese pasta. Again, excellent quantities, great taste and all at reasonable prices. The service was good, although the impact of just how busy the pub was became apparent when our starters and main arrived simultaneously. No harm done as the errors were corrected by the serving staff. Our one gripe was having to ask for cutlery and serviettes. These really should be available as standard. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable pub to enjoy a family meal. We are already looking forward to our return visit to enjoy more from the delicious menu. Hmm.....fish...

The food was great - home made steak and stilton with skin on chips - and I was very satisfied. I took my second pint outside in front of the pub where the sun was baking and people we going about thier business of the weekday afternoon.
The parking is not great if you're by car since there seems to be a 45 minute maximum on the street during the day and some restrictions may apply at night. Maybe there was a better place nearby I missed.
