Booked a table for 3. Ordered and food arrived promptly. I ordered mixed grill, our food arrived and I was apparantly served a mixed grill, after starting to eat the meal, the waitress come over and said that's is a platter and took it away. (I had literally started eating the meat,rice and salad) Minuites later my mixed grill arrived. I started eating and the lamb chop was raw! I am used to eating lamb medium rare but this was literally raw. The other meat was cooked nicely BUT eating raw lamb is a bit much so I left it! 2 young waitresses failed to ask how are food was and if everything was OK so I just left it. The waitress took our plates and I explained the lamb was raw and she just looked at me, no appologies . Overall an average experience and as its the only Turkish in stowmarket its satisfactory. If u want quality I'd go to cappadocia on the A12 at capel or ottomans in ipswich. Overall, average Turkish food served by English waitresses with average service! 4...

Let's start with the booking, some weeks back, in a word, flawless. I needed a table for four, away from the door (Dec is chilly), polite, professional, and confident. The restaurant took my details, and I felt reassured my booking had been recorded. I promise this is not always the case, with all restaurants. We were welcomed and sat as arranged away from the door. It's always the little things. The staff were simply brilliant, none of the scripted rubbish you get from chains. Orders were taken, help was provided, drinks arrived. The restaurant was busy but not packed, it can feel very loud, with everyone enjoying themselves. The food arrived, we all agreed the food was tasty and beautifuly presented. We had dessert well, the choice was mainly ice cream, which was very good, baklava was on offer as well. On Friday 8th August 2025, we ordered our normal takeaway from Ela's which we love. The order was put in via Uber Eats just after 8pm. We were given an estimated arrival time of 9pm-9:20pm which was fine for us. 9:45pm came and we still had not received any food. I tried calling for an update however this rang out to voicemail. 10pm came and we ended up cooking something for ourselves. The order was eventually cancelled during the night.

On Saturday 9th August at around 7pm during our daughter's bedtime, there was a knock at the door and our food was the previous night miraculously arrived. The ticket for the order even had the 7th on. The delivery persons tried calling the restaurant but again this went through to voicemail. The delivery person took the food back with them.

The lack of communication around this was very disappointing given the lack of apology or explanation. It has really put us off ordering again...
