what a charming little spot, lovely and warm when you walk in not just from the heating but also the attentive staff, with comfy warm seating its clearly a popular local spot with lots of patrons inside, but a double wide building means theres still plenty of room at lunch time. i tried one of the best scotch eggs ive ever had, and the millionaire shortcake will bring you back repeatedly i fear! worth a visit if not to get a cuppa but just to challenge yourself on what to try because looking in the showcase its a hell of a choice.

Stumbled across this fantastic new little cafe on their first day of opening! Amazing looking homemade cakes, with a coffee and walnut cake to die for! Had a great flat white and a delicious chicken pesto sandwich to take away. Brilliant to have gluten free options available as well. They sell ice creams too, so will be coming back with the kids in tow! The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Can’t wait until they can open fully to sit down in once restrictions are lifted! Fabulous addition to the village. :-)

Easy 5 stars. Recently moved to Burgess Hill and this place has been on my radar. Had an amazing big full English(sorry can’t recall how exactly it was named 😅), my girlfriend had a bacon and sausage bap, even tried one of their scotch eggs(strongly recommend). Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, combining 2 neighbouring shops have really done a fantastic job in creating a nice spacious atmosphere. Great service, will visit again!

Looking for somewhere to meet friends for brunch, I found Aroma Cafe & Kitchen through an online search. As we were a group of five, one of whom is disabled, I emailed to check suitability and whether we could reserve a table. Matt replied quickly, answered all my questions, and was very helpful, so I booked. The venue is spotless, and although small, there is still space between tables. Service was polite and prompt. Plenty of choice on the menu, including soup, quiche & pie of the day. Two of our party ordered the full English breakfast, but neither wanted mushrooms, so were offered hash browns instead. I ordered the pie of the day; chicken, spinach & feta (delicious). I was offered veg & saute potatoes, but opted for a bit of salad with honey & seed dressing. Everybody said their food was tasty, good quality, and plentiful. Tempted by the chilled display, I chose a strawberry & lemon posset (sooo good). The others chose various cakes, which were polished off to continuous "mmmm" sounds. There is an accessible toilet, although it may prove challenging to manoeuvre a wheelchair in and out due to the proximity of the counters. As we were leaving, Matt suggested we might try a Friday or Saturday evening next time. We all agreed Aroma Cafe and Kitchen was a gem of a find, and will definitely be returning. Highly...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this cafe and it was a great experience worth sharing! I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere making it a great place to relax and enjoy my meal.

The menu offered a variety of breakfast options, I tried their breakfast and avocado toast, and it was absolutely phenomenal—perfectly cooked and generous quantity!

The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest felt welcome. You can see them taking the time to chat around with their regular or non regular customers so nice to see!

I highly recommend it for anyone in search of a delicious breakfast and great customer experience. I’ll definitely be...

My partner had surprised me with a 30th birthday celebration here last Saturday with close friends and family.

On arrival we had Prosecco and delicious canapés followed by main and dessert. I have been here many times for lunch & dinner and the food is all homemade and of top quality.

It’s a little gem of a place and that’s down to Matt & Nat. They’re so friendly and very welcoming and went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable evening.

My favourite place to eat in hassocks!! Would highly recommend but on the safe side maybe book in advance as it gets booked up quickly.

Thanks again to Matt & Nat for a...
