I visited The Greyhound on Wednesday 20 April 2022 in the early evening, a weekday during the Easter school holidays. I was with three other people. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. We were staying at the Southdown Way Caravan & Camping Park, about a 10 minute walk down the road.
The pub comprises of a couple of medium sized dining areas with plenty of tables with full table service. It was very quiet.
The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and enjoyed the experience - we were well looked after throughout.
I enjoyed a shared baked camembert for my starter, chicken skewers for my main course and a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted good. It's unfathomable to imagine a world where this establishment garners anything less than a celestial five-star acclaim. The new guardians of this tavern have woven a tapestry of warmth and jubilation, enveloping the space in a cocoon of conviviality. The staff, like stars in a night sky, shine with attentiveness and amiability. They are as constant as the North Star, adhering unwaveringly to their opening hours. The ale flows like a well-tended stream, its quality unimpeachable, and the fare offered is a delightful symphony of taste, echoing the essence of a quintessential country pub. What more could one seek in this haven of rustic charm and heartfelt...

I laughed at a 1 star review on here when I read it, then realised it was one of those lunatics that moves next door to a pub and then complains about living next to a pub! Cheers to many more years - it's great to see pubs like this thriving so many are...
