Went here last night with my partner as she wanted somewhere close to eat. I had heard some mixed reviews about this place but thought to give it a try myself. Over all I have to say I was a little disappointed. They say they are traditional, however I am not sure if that means India or westernized curries. The good points are that the staff are very friendly and do their job well (even if a little slow at times, we went when it was quiet and still had to get their attention) also the food is cooked well and tastes good. However I have been to places that are far ahead of this restaurant. There doesn't seem to be much flare when it comes to putting their own spin on things. I always order from the house and chefs specials and I was left a little disappointed. Although cooked well it lacked some stand out flavour to me. My other half ordered a biryani that also was under par compared to other restaurants (she didn't even see a sultana I don't think). The coke was also flat and the ginger ale I had was pretty weak. Also... NO DESERTS! Not all do them. Which is always a mark down for me when they dont. But there are indian deserts that they could do. I am sure there are people who will love this place and as I said the food is good. Just for me I wanted the food to take me on more of a flavour journey like most great indian restaurants do. I also can't fault the price. You can have a meal for very cheap in here. Overall. Not bad... but not great.. I would say this place is...
Read moreI'm writing this review to warn others about the owner of The Curry Inn. My uncle, who is elderly and not very mobile, used to be a regular customer at this restaurant. He would often dine in or get takeaways, and he was always very generous with his tips.
However, he had one bad experience with a takeaway order. My uncle left an honest and frank review on Google Maps, stating that he was disappointed with his experience.
The owner of the restaurant called my uncle and aggressively told him that he was banned from attending the restaurant. This is a ridiculous and unfair decision. My uncle is a loyal customer who has been spending his hard-earned money at this restaurant for years. He simply expressed his disappointment with his last experience, and he should not be punished for that.
This incident makes a mockery of the review system. Customers should be able to leave honest feedback without fear of reprisal. I would urge anyone considering eating at The Curry Inn to think twice. The owner is clearly unprofessional and vindictive, and you could end up being banned for simply expressing...

Kudos to the chef for cooking such delicious dishes. Onion baaji were done to perfection, crispy and light. Curry was beautiful and it will take you on a journey of flavours. Thank you very much for everything and for delivering such a great food and customer service that late in the evening! Definitely coming...
