Fantastic Dining Experience at Banana Tree in Haywards Heath!

I recently had the pleasure of organizing a lunch gathering for 23 people at Banana Tree in Haywards Heath, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant, managed by Erik, exceeded our expectations in terms of service, ambiance, and most importantly, the mouthwatering South Eastern Asian dishes that left us craving for more.

Having such a large group, we were pleased to find that Banana Tree had a dedicated room reserved for us. The seating area was well-arranged, providing comfort and ease of conversation among our party members. The atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Now let's get to the highlight of lunch—the food! We indulged in a variety of dishes that showcased the rich and diverse flavors of South Eastern Asian cuisine. The Pad Thai Chicken was a true crowd-pleaser, with perfectly cooked noodles and just the right balance of tangy and savory flavors. The Green Curry Chicken had a delightful kick to it, and the aromatic herbs and spices transported us to the streets of Thailand. The Laksa Soup prawns, was delicious. The broth was fragrant and creamy. The Thai Massaman Curry Chicken and Malaysian prawn Kari with coconut milk was with velvety texture and the perfect marriage of spices.

What impressed us even more was the attentive and prompt service provided by the staff. Despite the large group, our orders were served promptly, and the waitstaff ensured that everyone's needs were met with a smile. Erik, the manager, oversaw the smooth running of our lunch gathering, and his professionalism and attention to detail were commendable.

Overall, I highly recommend Banana Tree in Haywards Heath, especially for gathering. The restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience, with delicious South Eastern Asian cuisine, excellent service, and a dedicated room for larger groups. Whether you're a fan of Thai, Malaysian or other South Eastern flavors, you'll find something to satisfy your taste buds. It's a true gem that should...

We came for dinner this evening. We booked a table 1.5 hours before arriving at restaurant. We were told that the online booking doesn’t work after 4, so we had no choice but to wait outside whilst we waited for a table.

Once we got in, it took a good 20 minutes to get a drink order. The drinks did then come quick and were very nice.

We got calamari (which was okay) and chicken satay. The chicken was completely raw in places, most of it was pink but there was a massive bit that was almost red. The waitress was very lovely and sent back to kitchen. There was a table next to us that had the same issue. We are extremely disappointed and angry at the manager himself. We saw him check up on the table next to us at least 4 times and reassure them everything that would be done to rectify this. He only came up to us to give us our mains and still never apologised (don’t want to assume it’s because we were young but unfortunately looked like he was ignoring us becuase of that) The waitress was extremely sorry and lovely (this was not her fault at all) Considering the fact that me and my boyfriend came home and were sick straight away and could potentially be ill, the manager should of made a little more effort with us to apologise and speak to us which he never did.

We won’t...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Took my pregnant wife and 2 friends for dinner as we thought we would give it a try and WILL NEVER go back!!! The cocktails were probably the worst I’ve ever had anywhere, the service was absolutely shocking, even forgetting to give us cutlery. The food was 100% Microwaved!! And to top it off we were told once we came to pay the bill it was Card Only, when I explained we should of been told at the start the child that was serving us said “Do you not understand English mate!” Absolutely shocking food, shocking service and shocking Cocktails! I would not go back even if it was paid for by someone else!! If you still decide to go and Experience what we have then don’t say I didn’t try and warn you!!! I even videoed the the the lady spoke to us as it was extremely out of order!! Ohh and luckily we checked the bill because they tried to add £30 optional service charge to a £190 bill!!! ABSOLUTE...
