Taza Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Mid Sussex

Used to be the best curry house in Mid Sussex however since their recent menu change they have been awful. The staff have been rude and discourteous, they have reduced the amount of items you get on the banquet menu and what is and isn't included differs dependent on the person you talk to.

I'm told you can't order a side in the £24.95 meal deal if you order a byriani because the vegetable curry portion of the bryiani counts as a side despite it not being a byriani without it. The person on the phone agreed with me but said it was "store policy". I was told it was also store policy that if I ordered two byrianis as my 2 main options I would then lose 3 items, the side and 2 breads. The logic doesn't make sense anyway but surely by that strange logic you should only lose 2 items not 3. He agreed but apparently it's "store policy", infuriating.

The person I spoke too repeatedly told me and 'reassured' me that he was the manager yet called me back 10 minutes later saying he's just spoken to the manager. They just seem to be making it up as they go along and seem to be lost without the owner. It's a real shame because they were great and always made us feel welcome, always remembered me for every eat in and collection. On the plus side at least we get to try other dining options, as won't be ordering again.

Personally I'd avoid, food is nice but at the cost of poor value and poor service is it...

I really don't know where to start. We ordered a curry at 7.25pm and were told to pick it up 45mins later. We left at 8pm to walk down ready to collect. At 9pm an hour and a half after ordering we were told they could not cook it for us and were sent elsewhere. This is not acceptable, not only have you lost one couples business but 3! This was supposed to be a lovely get together and it has turned into a waiting game with people missing....

The food here is great, which is really the most important thing. I’ve eaten here once and had it delivered once. When we ate there the staff were friendly and it was a good experience. Sadly when I ordered for delivery it took around two hours to come which was terrible.
