If I could give zero stars I would, first time coming here today (28/10) and saw they had gluten free options (coeliac). However, every restaurant is different so I like to double check, firstly I asked if the hash browns are gluten free as some are a may contain. A few minutes later the lady returned and advised she couldn’t tell if they were or not so classed them as not. I asked if the sausages were gluten free and she said no however they had vegetarian sausage. I then asked to see the packaging of the hash browns and she laughed whilst going to get them. I checked the ingredients and was told they are cooked on their own so I was fine to have them. When my breakfast arrived I noticed a think black hair underneath the eggs, I brought it to her attention and she stood there and inspected it for a long minute, I have blonde fine hair so no way was this mine. A new breakfast was brought out to me with an apology, however one of my fried eggs were undercooked. I had left that one and ate the other. If working in a food establishment then basic food hygiene and knowledge of allergies need to be taught. I used to work in hospitality and understood the seriousness of allergies and cross contamination, however there was no knowledge of this. Although the server did know 100% that the jacket potatoes were gluten free. If you have any food allergies I WOULDN’T recommend eating here as the lack of knowledge when it comes to allergies isn’t reassuring in the slightest. Hairs in food happen time to time that can be sorted easily, but not so easy to make better after making someone ill based on the lack of knowledge and basic training. Also, the presentation of the eggs didn’t look appetising, microwave isn’t everyone’s friend, especially eggs.

What happened here? :( Back in July when I went the food portion and quality was so good! 10/10. But now, quality and portion size has dropped massively to 4/10. Not worth the price now which is really a shame because I would come here all the time. But unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be coming back. The old hash browns they did back then were great, but the “potato rosti” I had now was quite greasy and not very tasty at all… Really disappointed, it’s a shame the quality and portion size has dropped so much. 17.50 for “big breakfast” which was so small. Supposedly bacon in the picture…yikes, so overcooked and colour is completely off.

We were in Milton Keynes and fancied a cooked breakfast and came across this place. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. However, the English breakfast left us a little underwhelmed. The food was well presented and was nice and hot. However, it just seemed a little plain and lacking taste. The sausage wasn't great and an odd one piece of streaky bacon. We did have some cappuccinos and they were very good, although you need to order the large as the regular is on the small side. I have uploaded a picture so you can judge for yourself.

DESPERVES 0 STAR!! Such a shame as can see the potential but our first visit was a nightmare and wouldn't recommend or go back again.

We ordered a sausage, bacon and egg toastie and a chicken burger with chips. After a 25mins wait seeing loads of people who ordered after us recieve thier dishes, we asked how long the food was going to be. Then to find out that despite paying when you order, the order had not gone through??

So we ordered again, NOBODY APOLOGISED, then to wait 20mins more and still no food!

Only when it was clear that we were looking fed up (the table next to us of 3 ordered their food and their first dish arrive within 10mins of them arriving - however the 2 other dishes arrived 20mins later deapite ordering at same time!) did someone come over and ask if we wanted drinks while we waited, STILL NOBODY APOLOGISED

Food finally arrived and the order was wrong - bacon and sausage toastie arrived (that's not even a menu option!) When advised it was missing the egg the waitress asked me if I wanted the egg! Yes as I'd ordered it. Sausage is poor quality defo not a proper butchers sausage as advertised. No Cutlery was brought out and they asked us if we wanted cutlery with our food. Had to ask for sauce and cheap packet sauce was brought to the table. Nobody check if our food was OK.

Poor quality food, shocking service - we were not rude or shouty yet nobody took accountability for their mistake, nobody would even make eye contact with us.

Staff do not appear trained in customer service or hospitality at all and if they are the training is shocking or they have some real problems!

WOULD NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR...

I visited this cafe last year, the food was nice, unfortunately today it was not .The staff at the front were really nice and accommodating, although I did have to remind them about my child's juice that was forgotten. When the food came out,I was not impressed .I had ordered cheeseburger, chips and beans .My cheese was missing from the burger, cheap salad in the burger, full of mayonaise which is not on the description on the menu. The chips were ok but not hot,the beans arrived in a pot.The burger had been fried, was very greasy. The food tasted completely different to before. My son had a childres cheeseburger meal & to be honest their was no difference to the size the food on his plate compared to mine.. He too could not eat the food.Last time I visited the kids burgers were plain with no sauce in or salad. This time his burger was exactly the same as mine. My mum had a bacon sandwich,on thin cheap bread..I was quite shocked at how much this place has gone down hill. I did notice a different chef cooking the food ,not only that but quite a few new looking people behind the scenes. The cafe was busy and looked clean.Their seems to be alot of talking about the customers behind the till too which was made obvious to myself.. I'm sorry to say I will not...
