Have been coming here for a very long time for Drinks outside and also Food. I have recently started using a Gourmet Card I have always had but always forgotten about! I realised the Copperfish accept the Card so was a little annoyed with myself for not thinking about it a few years ago! I used it with no problems the first time but the second time my partner tried to Book and was told they don't accept the Card by a rather rude young Lady who eventually agreed she will phone the manager to check and get back to us after we explained we had used it the Week before with no problems. She never did get back to us despite waiting over 30 minutes so we found her to enquired again. We were eventuslly told we could use it so sat down to order. The rudeness just got worse and worse starting with one word answers to anything we asked her and it progressed to a completely indifferent attitude. We asked what the Specials were and we were told we could not have them quite rudely even though again, the Week before this had been allowed. She was also constantly looking over at us with disgust and as we were the only ones in the Restaurant at the time I felt quite uncomfortable. We put the Menus down and left to go to the Woodman in West Cross (on the way out of Mumbles) we have also been going to the Woodman for quite a while and used the Card there for the first time a few Weeks ago and the Staff were fantastic regardless of if I have a Gourmt Card or not! I did use the Copperfish very regularly not always for Food but a few Drinks to sit outside on sunny days too. This member of staff should not be in Hospitsllity as she is loosing the company customers with her terrible attitude. What a shame as the young man who is normally there is lovely and the other staff also seem very nice but it only takes one rude member to put many people off! I didn't like being treated like a second class person for having a discount card. If the company have chosen to accept the Card Staff should not be so rude when someone...

Read moreAlthough we are fairly local, we haven't visited Mumbles Pier for a long time. We actually came here on consecutive days as the weather is so nice and it is quite breezy here. Very pleasant. On the first day, we ordered from the takeaway - chips, fish, rissole and sausages. Took them home and they were really good portions, lovely piece of cod and very enjoyable.
On the second day, we decided to eat-in, although we did sit at an outside table as we had our doggy with us. We ordered from the QR code on the table and we had scampi (there were loads), Chix & Mushroom Pie (tasted like home made), loaded chips (with chilli con carne and sourcream (delicious)) and a burger and chips. It was all very efficient and we didn't have to wait long for the food to come. Both the takeaway and the eat-in experience was great and the food was lovely and very affordable too. Special mention to the staff who were very professional and ultra-friendly. Well done! Can't praise them enough.
I'm not sure if the cafe/ice cream shop is under the same management but I wouldn't be surprised if it was as the team there were equally great and the ice cream was delicious. Even had a doggy ice cream for our pooch. Overall perfect...
