Verdi's always packed - winter or summer. Incredible ice-cream and cakes, but in my opinion, the food just isn't that good, especially compared to its sister restaurants. It needs more (and better vegan options too!). #swansea #swanseacity #swanseauni #mumbles #icecream

A lovely restaurant at the lower end of Mumbles, just next to the water access slipway. Nice view across the bay if you get a seat near the window, or outside, but it tends to be very busy at the weekends. Great staff, eager to attend to every need, and aesthetics is very nice, it feels like good quality across the board, even the toilets were well kept. The food was gorgeous - very large portions as well, but keep a space for dessert, as their ice cream sundaes are amazing! Not much space for wheelchair access, but no steps, so I'm sure the ever helpful staff would happily accommodate you if asked. Limited gluten free options, I was surprised that the sandwich/baguette section didn't have a gluten free option. There are a few vegetarian options, but again not extensive. The two veggie dishes we went for were delicious. They have specials on the board, so look out for those for extra options. Car park next to (100yds) the restaurant is pay and display, charges are standard for Mumbles area. It's a bit of a walk from here to the shops and other places of interest in the area, but still a lovely place to eat if out for a day in Mumbles.

Visited on Monday 4th April at 7:30pm . About 5-6 other tables with customers so very quiet , Staff were very helpful at the till , you pay before your food arrives ??? Ordered a Pizza and a Tagliatelle Alfredo . I was shocked at the pizza it looked amazing and toppings were tasty but that’s where it ended .After eating two pieces I scrapped the topping off . The base was soggy like wet cardboard and ruined it completely! Italian restaurant that can’t cook a pizza oh dear Verdi’s The tagliatelle Alfredo was lacking any flavour at all and completely tasteless a very watery milk like sauce most of that was also left see picture . Followed by my partners upset stomach a very poor end to the evening . At least a glass of Diet Coke at £3.35 each was drinkable . My partner ordered a ice cream as she left most of the pasta dish . At no point did anyone ask if our food was ok ? And no one acknowledged us as we left . The highlight of our visit , Diet Coke and a shared ice cream 🙁 44 mile round trip for some terrible food. I’ve eaten Italian food all over the Uk and Italy 🇮🇹 Italians would be embarrassed. Come on guys it’s pizza if you can’t cook it ? Then don’t sell it . £32.50 for soggy pizza and watery pasta . Ice cream was the only memorable item worth mentioning . The legendary Verdi made great music Verdi’s don’t make good pizza .

We were greeted by a lovely waiter who found us a table. My partner ordered a veggie lasagne at the till (he assumed it was what I wanted....but that's another story🤣). When the waitress brought the food to the table, I double-checked whether it was veggie, and she said yes, it was. Luckily, my partner tried it to find it was, in fact, a meat lasagne. Managed to get the attention of a member of staff who said she'd change it for something else. Then the manager came over and asked what the problem was, which we explained, he had a very abrupt manner with no apology and stated they don't offer veggie lasagne but he did agree to change it for something else. What I chose was cheaper, but there was no offer of a refund of the difference. Staff should've told my partner when ordering the food that they did not do a veggie option. What if it had been a food allergy/intolerance. The veggie pizza I had instead looked delicious but was just OK. It was lacking in flavour, it was definitely tastier the last time I went there. My partner wasn't impressed with his pizza either. Definitely won't be in a rush to return there. Although the views are great from there, it is noisy in there. We witnessed the food order also being messed up on the table next to us, the same abrupt manager dealt with that to.

Our experience at Verdis restaurant in Swansea tonight was incredibly disappointing and concerning. Despite our anticipation for a pleasant coffee and dessert with friends and family, the reality fell far short of expectations. Our order included a cake that was shockingly poor in quality, clearly indicating it had been left over from previous days. The cream topping even had a sour taste, indicating spoilage. Unfortunately, I decided to try a small slice, only to regret it immediately. Shortly after leaving the restaurant, I became violently ill, vomiting in the parking lot. The ordeal continued as my 4-year-old son and wife also fell ill, resulting in further vomiting on the journey to back home. This was our first visit to Verdis, and I can confidently say it will be our last. It's disheartening to see that, in pursuit of profit, some establishments are willing to jeopardize the health and safety of their customers by using expired and substandard ingredients. I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if your health is a priority.

This is one of the best restaurants in Swansea Bay in the Mumbles area. Italian restaurant and Ice cream parlour serving delicious Italian cuisine with some classy desserts. Ideal place for a coffee and a snack as well. I recommend the Chicken & Mayonnaise, Tuna & Mayonnaise & Fresh Mozzarella, Sun Dried Tomato & Pesto all on brown bread and toasted. The sandwiches come with crisps and salad. We order 2x Americanos and a pot of Tea. The only downside is that the restaurant is big with plenty of seating but they need bigger tables, luckily on our table of 3 we were able to fit everything. You need to find a table, then order at the till and food will be brought to your table. You get spectacular views of the Swansea Bay, even better on a sunny day. I highly recommend this restaurant whether it's for a meal, snack or a stopover. We will visit again when we come to Swansea.
