I dropped in here on the day of the Italian Motor Festival...I'm disabled, so cannot stand in crowds and elected to sit here and enjoy my daily pint. I was greeted by the owner, as I'd parked on his car park...and he was obviously aware that this would be a good place for leaving the car and walking away to see the Ferraris on their tour.
He was very pleasant and welcoming and told me to go through the garden doorway...which was unfortunately bolted from the inside. However, I made my way to the front and went to the bar proper.
He apologised for not having the door open and I enjoyed his excellent beer. This is a great little pub, slightly scruffy on the outside, but with that real 'old fashioned, British pub feel' inside. The staff are friendly and efficient and the locals are as welcoming as the landlord...I was enjoying my pint so much...that I forgot to take any photographs of the multi-million pound car display passing...

The service was quite slow, 1 hour for mains and then another 30-40 mins for pudding, had to ask 3 times for the desert menu and it felt like the staff were too busy moaning about a family who decided to leave after waiting an hour for food to really focus on giving a good service. Read moreExperienced a lovely, plentiful and tasty breakfast. The hosts were welcoming, professional and friendly. The menu provided a good range of tea, coffee, cereals, toast, jam, fresh fruit, yoghurt PLUS a comprehensive full English (if needed). Good and efficient service. AND all for £7.95 a head.
