Update: Following the owners response, I have attached a copy of my receipt, showing the purchase time of 15:54. I feel the owner is being misleading with regards to the 20 minute notice. The server brought our coffees out and then within a couple of minutes we were asked to leave. We voiced our opinions but we're not obstructive in leaving. A venue to avoid for the future! Unbelievably sold us a coffee at 15:55, once seated outside we were told we can't sit down as they close at 16:00 and they are clearing the chairs!! Very poor customer service!! Had we known they were closing 5 minutes after ordering we would have gone elsewhere but there was no mention!

Visited on a Sunday. It wasn't overly busy and there was only 2 people sitting inside. Order 2x coffees, not a complicated order but after 15 minutes or waiting on the seats outside we had to chase. Eventually a young girl appeared trying to give our drinks to other people and I had to get up to collect my order. I explicitly specified a white Americano. So why did I get a black coffee? The simplest drink was messed up. Pretty poor experience. Great location but the cafe is run by children and there is no experience it seems. Will go elsewhere next time, get takeout and go sit on the harbour wall.

Visited the cafe today which was in a great location and overall all it looked great. I may have missed this on the website, but there was no seating inside, so felt limited on my food choice as there were not tables free outside, unfortunately, pancakes aren't easy on the move. The Acai bowl and the overnight oats were very nice, the portion size was fair but I felt it was a little expensive. However, I'd imagine the ingredients were fresh so that may be the reason which is understandable. It's always nice to support local business and is worth a visit Coffee was good too!!!

Went to the Coffee and Drift this morning, the opening times on the door said it opens at 8.30am, it was 8.53am when we entered the cafe only to be told they didn’t open till 9.00am. It was pouring with rain so we asked if we could sit inside and wait, we were told no because they needed to set the tables, so we stood outside in a doorway until 9.00am before going in. The table’s didn’t look any different. We then ordered two bowls of granola and a hot breakfast sandwich and asked if the hot sandwich could be served after we had eaten the granola, but the girl serving seem to make a big issue about it stating that they don’t normally operate that way and it depended how busy they were but she was quite rude to the point that we nearly didn’t bother. Because we had been before and enjoyed the food we decided to stay. The girl who brought the breakfast over was nice and helpful and the food was excellent, but it was just the attitude of the girl serving us and the fact that we had to stand outside in the rain that has really annoyed us to the point of writing this review. Good food but could have been more...

Cute little place in the town centre spotted while I was on a lookout for a takeway coffee. There was about 8-10 clients inside and outside and a team of 5 to serve them. Something was off with the system as my take away coffee went to the bottom of priority queue and it took about 10min to prepare. Only one person out of the 5 staff was manning the coffee machine in a place that has coffee in its name. Everyone else who ordered a take away was waiting with me and getting equally itchy. Once all clients before me were w served, the coffee arrived. The team gave me the coffee cup and went into frantic search for coffee cup lids, without any acknowledgement or comment my way. I left without the lid, in the middle of the frantic search - I don't think the team noticed. I got the coffee with the wrong milk, but I had no patience to ask for an exchange or indeed to wait another 10min until my turn. Food looked good, but I was a bit horrified by the whole experience so I doubt I'll...

Went inside to order with one other customer in front of us near the front servery and asked rather abruptly to wait outside. Not sure if this is a COVID reason or to allow staff space to bring the food and drinks out to waiting customers through the doorway?. Two comments really: first, please put some sort of notice in the window so customers know (Im more than happy to do whatever helps you do your job effectively) which will also reduce how many times you ask customers to wait outside and also please think about the the approach: no problem with what was said/ebig asked but the way in which something is said makes a big difference. Coffee was fine but I will get coffee from one of the neighbouring outlets next time. Perhaps it was really busy and everyone was trying to get the orders sorted in good...
