Having decided not to cook on the last night of our hols in the New Forest, what better than a fish 'n' chip Friday? We searched the local shops online reviews and blimey did we pick a winner, along with many before us. Having ordered online and turned up to collect our food we were greeted by people inside and outside eagerly awaiting their food. I can see why. Behind the counter working flat out, were 6 team members and our order was ready a few minutes before the allotted pick up time It was plentiful, beautifully cooked with crispy batter and virtually no grease and the chips were crispy, light and fluffy inside. For someone who does not like tartar sauce, I was brave and bought two pots along with mushy peas that one of our group had ordered. Both were homemade and stonking. Miss this shop and you have missed giving your taste buds a treat and is it worth a detour off the A31 heading West or East?...
Read moreThis is a rare breed of chip shop. In that it’s fantastic. They cook the chips in new fresh oil every time and you get these perfect chips that are non greasy or soggy!! (why don’t all chippy’s do this? Profit over quality obviously - after a brief discussion with Mr. Price!) If you want mediocre, go elsewhere and pay slightly less for an inferior product. If you want top quality every time you order, come here. Also, the batter is a delight and not the usual mess you get in other shops all whist being served by really nice people. Unfortunately i can only call in here once a week at lunchtimes as im passing, as i live 30 miles away. But rest assured, if he wants to franchise in Southampton, im in 👍 As usual, now he's back open, I’ll be in for my jumbo battered and chips every week, that’s guaranteed to make me want more on my...

We come from Coventry and we're visiting the New Forest. We were under the impression we had good chippies by us, however they were blown out the water by Prices.
We ordered on the phone which was easy - we would have ordered online but weren't sure when we would arrive.
The food took a little time to prepare but wasn't an unreasonable wait as they were busy on a Friday evening.
The fish was perfect. Perfectly cooked thick cod and beautiful crispy batter. It didn't taste like fish from a chippy. Chips were wonderfully crisp yet soft on the inside and tasted like they should. Nothing was dripping in grease or mushy. The gravy was some of the best we've had too.
All in all a fantastic place to enjoy fish and chips and would highly recommend if you're...
