I don't know where to start with this place. Huge stained glass windows which look great from the roadside. Plenty of parking. The building is absolutely beautiful and has a very interesting history. Set in some lovely grounds and a small walk to the cliff tops. I stayed for two nights in celebration of my birthday, and just had the best time! Inside the building is absolutely stunning. Art everywhere, wooden panneling on the walls, gorgeous fireplaces dotted around. The service in the dining room was friendly and very prompt. The food is a very good standard! Plenty on the menu for everyone. We had a luxury double room with a sea view that was just lovely, especially at sunset! The room was clean and tidy, well decorated and no shortage of room! The bed was huge and very comfortable. I would like to give a particularly special shout out to Stu and George (the ginger girl) who are not only great at what they do, they went out of their way to make my birthday stay a great one! Stu is hilarious and full of banter, George is a great laugh and just a wonderful young lady. These two members of staff massively contributed to me just having a great time away. All the staff were lovely, but these two were definitely my kind of people. I will definitely be coming to stay again. And I would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't, to visit.

We had a truly lovely 2 night stay at this character filled and charming hotel. The building itself is a statement piece upon approach and just gets better and better the more you explore it inside. Such a joy to see the operators and staff embrace the buildings appeal rather than fight against it. Each hotel room offers its own story from what I saw and dining among such history is quite beautifully unique these days. Food was lovely, especially the breakfasts with views to die for through the grand windows. The deluxe plus we were in was just so comfortable and inviting with lovely little touches by people that know what they are doing. The best part of all though......? The staff. They seem to have a fairly small team by design - but boy are they dedicated. From first phone call to book (with helpful advice) all the way through.... not one detail was left wanting. Brilliant execution of their offering for a target market they clearly understand. Sam, Ellie, Stuart & Leanne were standouts but all the team were superb. Thanks so much for such a special stay. We hope Mothers day went as smoothly as it could for you all. Tom & Maja.

We stayed a single night and have never been to the Beach House before. We have an electric vehicle and was pleased to find that there are a number of (fast) charging stations in the area. The Beach House has a very large car park so parking was easy. We came down well before the agreed check in time and decided to have a light lunch and then a walk along the coast before we checked in. The lunch was very nice and good value . Staff were friendly and helpful. You couldn't ask for better. The decor is very nice and with large warm fires it was very welcome after a walk by the sea. It is located actually on the coast so you can walk on the very well kept coastal paths without ever encountering a road. We decided to go for an upgrade on our room. The room was a big surprise. It was fantastic. It was large and comfortable , the manager Stuart showed us around. Although the room was fnatastic , the views were breath taking. It is a short walk in to milford on sea along a reasonably well lit footpath where there are a couple of extremely good pubs. It is a wonderful place to stay and next time we come, we will bring our friends!

Got a card from our server Salicia (or similar, handwriting not the best) asking for feedback on our Sunday Lunch. Well it was disappointing. We just got comfortable but were then moved to an adjacent table as apparently the table we were sitting at was "booked". No reservation sign on it when we were seated there by another server initially. So we sat at a tiny table in the window which was hot & uncomfortable. The roast beef Sunday lunch wasn't good: dry overcooked Yorkshire Pudding; dry overcooked roast potatoes; limp overcooked veg. For the price it was expensive and not very good value for money. We've had far better Sunday roasts in the pub at half the price. As we were finishing we were surprised when our server walked past and put the bill on our table before walking off. I guess she didn't want us to have pudding then. The table we were bumped from remained empty for the duration of our meal: when I pointed this out to our server at the end she just laughed. I said we weren't happy but she said the customers who were going to sit at the table decided to sit outside, which is why it remained unused. Really bad decision making on her part as they weren't very busy and had numerous other tables free: far better to leave us undisturbed and seat the other customers (if they came) at another table. Not sure what she was thinking. We paid the bill (minus the service charge) and left. We were staying at the hotel for six nights: on the first night we had a lovely meal with good service so not sure why this experience was so poor. Anyway, it put us off so we ate out for the rest of our stay. The hotel itself is a lovely hotel in a great location and apart from our extremely hot room (and bad Sunday lunch experience) we enjoyed...

Nestled perfectly with breathtaking vistas, The Beach House isn't just a pub; it's an experience, and an absolutely amazing one at that. From the moment we stepped through its doors, we were enveloped in an atmosphere that promised, and truly delivered, an unforgettable visit.

The amazing views are, without a doubt, a showstopper. Whether it was the sparkling sea, a dramatic sunset, or the charm of the coastal landscape, every glance out the window was a moment to savor. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time, simply soaking in the beauty around you.

Beyond the stunning backdrop, what truly elevated our visit was the brilliant team. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm were palpable. Every interaction was met with a friendly smile and efficient service, making us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for. It's clear that the staff at The Beach House are passionate about what they do, and it shines through in every detail, contributing significantly to the overall wonderful ambiance.

And then, there's the food. Oh, the delicious food! Each dish we tried was a testament to quality ingredients and skilled preparation. From classic pub fare elevated to gourmet standards to fresh, innovative options, every bite was a delight. It's rare to find a place that excels so thoroughly in all aspects – from the picturesque setting and exceptional service to truly outstanding culinary offerings.

The Beach House is more than just a place to eat and drink; it's a destination where stunning scenery, impeccable service, and delectable food converge to create a truly magical experience. We left feeling thoroughly impressed and already planning our return. Highly, highly...

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. As I went to check in, the front desk gentleman was checking in 2 other people, I waited. He took them upstairs to their room, returned and carried on working something on the laptop, did not acknowledge me at all. He took some time before he said anything. He checked me in and upgraded me, which was appreciated, and I went to my room.

The room was not very clean. There was an absolutely filthy glass in the room, with what looked like child fingers all over it and inside it.

In the evening I went for a drink at the bar, the same check-in gentleman was a barman now. As I was still deciding I let a couple of people go ahead of me. I asked for the wine list, he said ok, but then left to get some more alcohol bottles. Had a quick look and all the glasses seemed to be dirty. I left and went in the village and had a drink and something to eat there.

In the morning I had a full English, except for the scrambled eggs and sausage, the rest was inedible. The bacon looked as if was cooked 5 days ago and was reheated, the hash brown was smelling of old oil, the mushroom was barely cooked... The glasses on the table were dirty.

When checking out, waited for someone by the desk. A lady came in saying that someone will be with us in a min. Someone came and attempted to talk to her as she was walking away, she proceeded to shout at him and be quite irritated that he asked her something.

It is a shame as this hotel has a lot of potential. It is in a perfect location, is a beautiful building, however, it seems to be in the wrong hands, with overworked staff and snappy managers.

I will...
