Tinker's Granddaughter: A Vegan Delight in Lymington
Nestled in the heart of Lymington's charming town center, Tinker's Granddaughter stands as a culinary haven for vegan enthusiasts and curious gastronomes alike. From the moment you step through the door, you're enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and tantalizing treats fills the air.
My culinary adventure began with the Sourdough Toast with Smashed Pea and Mint, a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. The tangy sourdough, perfectly toasted to a golden crisp, provided the perfect base for the velvety smooth smashed peas, infused with the refreshing zest of freshly picked mint. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, a testament to the chef's impeccable attention to detail.
For dessert, I indulged in the Lemon Polenta Cake, a decadent treat that exceeded all expectations. The moist, crumbly polenta cake melted in my mouth, its subtle sweetness perfectly balanced by the zesty tang of lemon curd. The cake was crowned with a drizzling of delicious icing, adding a touch of sweetness that elevated the dessert to new heights.
Tinker's Granddaughter is more than just a vegan cafe; it's an experience that celebrates fresh, wholesome ingredients and the art of crafting delectable dishes that cater to every palate. Whether you're a seasoned vegan or simply seeking a culinary adventure, Tinker's Granddaughter is a must-visit destination in Lymington. (written with...
Read moreTTG is a place that clearly loves to feed people and I am a person who loves to eat so I feel we’re a match made in heaven!!
I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Tinkers epic burgers at a local market! It took me a while to get down to Lymington once they opened by after the first visit I couldn’t wait to go back!
The hot chocs are fantastic! The tiramisu is amazing! But the Sunday roast!!! SERIOUSLY!! I always find having a roast out and about can be a bit risky, because it’s hard for some places to get the roasties good, but TTG is now my go to roast place. The cauliflower cheese was perfection! You will not have a bad meal at this place. It’s great to sit at the window with some yummy food and watch the world go by!
TTG is a credit to Lymington (which is a very nice town that I’d probably never have made the effort to visit without this fine vegan establishment opening its doors!)
Go and visit! Yes it’s all vegan and yes it’s...
Read moreWhat a genuinely wonderful place Bobs has! We had mum’s 60th there on a Saturday hosted in the upstairs space with about 23 people which was comfortable (Bobs said it can hold 30 which I would agree would be the max and everyone would need to stay seated). For so much food, bottles of bubbly, and drinks, it was a very fair price. My mum is the only vegan amongst us but everyone very happily tucked in to a beautiful afternoon tea spread (with some of the best mini quiches and sausage rolls many of us have ever had). A very charming space if a little warm (which was sorted very quickly by Bobs). The women working that day were all extremely helpful, attentive, and just really friendly. Bobs was super communicative and easy to get hold of when needed. Will definitely be back and would...
