Plough Inn — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

First visit in a while, went to watch the live band on. Pub atmosphere was great, busy and just right. Red Lane(the band) was amazing. Let down of the visit was the service at the bar. One person on the bar all night, hearing the landlord and partner had gone out for a meal for the evening was really unfair on the bar staff member Kirsty. Queue times of 20 minutes for a drink on a planned event evening is quite poor leadership and management. Well done to Kirsty for such a positive attitude towards the job, and hope she got her well earned drink I bought her. Kirsty was fantastic and really set up to fail with lack of support. Kirsty was an asset to the business but really let down...

What an absolute legend of a landlord!!! It's been a long long time since I've been in this pub and felt like it was a proper pub for everyone!

Josh has done wonders with the place! And in my opinion brought back the spirit of and old school pub! Great nights! Great events! And incredible staff!!!

If there is any pub in ollerton or the surrounding area that I would recommend... The plough would be it!!!!

Josh and Jess are the best landlords of the place that I've met in my 15 years of drinking here!
