The Wheatsheaf is THE success story of 2024! Having been left dormant since the previous landlady left, it reopened in spring 2024 lead by Emma and Kev. What they have done is nothing short of amazing!
The pub was good, having a decent number of regulars, however it is now one of THE places to be in Southwell for a great night out. With regular entertainment on Fridays and/ or Saturdays and regular pop up food nights usually on Friday or Saturday it is simply where most people end up.
The staff are great, the atmosphere welcoming and a selection of handpulled ales (usually a minimum of 3) plus the usual selection of lagers and Ciders.
It is also home to various local pub teams, including successful darts and dominoes teams, a quiz night, bingo night and sponsors local youth and sports teams, it is also a community hub that welcomes locals and visitors to the pub alike.
