Castle Oatcakes — Restaurant in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Well would like comment on how the food was but this was something I never received!! Spent £20 order on here and then get told apparently they had deliver, by knocking on a door on a builday which I explain I would not hear but they had apparently tierd contact me on my phone a number off times and it just never went through strange how my friends able call me straight after and then I have decided order a macdonals and they was able call me but these was not able to??? Even thow I written my number down in the notes and on just eat. Even thow I waited 1 hour from ordering to call up about my deliver I thought I would leave it with plenty of time due to weather conditions and that seemed to be my fault as well and I should of not done that!!!!While the lady over phone was very unhelpful and just sated that there was nothing they can do at all and was not prepared to even help with a refund so I just put the phone down as she went on call me a liar not happy and would never try these ever again take your money and don't deliver your food seem like that had happened before for what I have read in other...

I normally try to speak to someone when I'm disappointed in something but after going there multiple times and telling them no tomato because I react with stinging and blisters appear in my mouth (its a mild allergy in the grand scheme of things). It's like someone has made a mistake and then realised by scooping it off, which I'm sure for most would be OK if they don't have an allergy. Also I understand portion sizes are being reduced due to costs of ingredients but when you start going 18months ago and a portion of black pudding on the beast was 5 slices it got reduced to 4 now its reduced to 2 chopped up into halves it would be nice to be informed or at least given the option of either paying more for more slices or told what you were getting. The cheese filling has reduced also I'm guessing that's down to the price of the cheese again understandable. Don't misunderstand me in my complaints, the food is gorgeous from here I'm just thinking a little more communication would be better its starting to remind me of the size of the Mars bar in the 80s...

Very much a standard level oatcake establishment in my honest humble potteries opinion. There is definitely better oatcake shops around, but the main issue with this oatcake shop is that it's very rarely open, so I just overlook the place, I also found it to be overpriced. For example a bacon and cheese double is £1.90 at London road oatcakes, meanwhile at castle oatcakes the same bacon and cheese double oatcake will cost you £3 and to be totally honest you're paying for a worse product.

So to sum up exactly what it is that I don't like about castle oatcake, 1 it's very rarely open 2 it's overpriced as I've pointed out above 3 it's a bang average oatcake that...
