I'm not really sure what I expected before I went to the kiln but I was very surprised. We really enjoyed our visit, it's much larger that expected, the food prices are very reasonable and the selection of drinks is very good. We tried several cocktails and they were all good. Unsure about the margarita though as it just said tequila, triple sec and June juice. Normally you add orange juice to that but the bar staff were unsure lol. Anyway, had a really good night and will definitely be going back for food. For someone that's visually impaired I found it adequately lit including the stairs down to the bar which are very light however if you're using a wheelchair this could be a problem as I didn't see a down ramp. The doors from the high street aren't exactly easy to manoeuvre if you were in a wheelchair but fine if you're not.

I've been a few times and things are usually fairly nice but on my last visit the card machine wasn't working and the cash point in the restaurant wasn't working and neither of the staff members 1. Told people until they had ordered and 2. Apologised for the inconvenience. I highlighted the issue to the person that took my order and again they didn't apologise or even acknowledge what I'd said. I just felt like it was rude of them. The food is generally nice, it's obviously not gourmet cuisine but on this particular visit I ordered a pizza, it wasn't a long wait for the food at all, bit there was a ridiculous amount of tomato puree on the pizza to the point where I was scraping it off and the pizza was lukewarm. We didn't bother complain because the staff looked tired of being there and honestly we didn't want to make their day worse. I used to really like going to the Kiln but it's really gone downhill the past few months, it's a real shame. Hopefully the management get their heads together to try and get things how they used to be. I've included some pics to show the extent of the tomato puree on the pizza, was really lacking in cheese!

Had a 50% food voucher so decided to visit on Wednesday evening. Was very underwhelmed by the experience. Booked a table in advance but there wasn’t anyone by the door to greet us and show us to our table. The floor was sticky, the menus were sticky and the cutlery didn’t look particularly clean. The food was pretty average, I’m glad I didn’t pay full price. And the loud dance music made it quite hard to hear what my partner was saying. The decor was pretty, the cocktails were nice and well priced, especially with being 2-4-1, and the staff were friendly and helpful. But I most likely won’t visit again.

Food came with ingredients missing, salads missing multiple items, and nachos missing avocado. Roof leaked onto the table. Food came out at different times over the space of 20 minutes for a table of six. Server was understanding and stated a manager would be over to speak to us. We waited for 40 minutes in an empty restaurant and was offered 10% off of our bill by the server, had already paid by this point. The manager didn't bother speaking to us so we left. Won't be returning and would suggest you visit Capello, Sando, or Wetherspoons instead for better service and food.

It's all about the decor The server wasn't very attentive. I wasn't told which bar to order at, so I was standing at the wrong bar and I had to catch the eye of someone to ask. No one came over to check the food was OK, it wasn't great. Burnt garlic bread which we would have asked to be replaced. 3 of us had chicken which you could tell was pre cooked. We won't be rushing back.
