Dixy Chicken Newcastle — Restaurant in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Having been a regular here for the past 12 months, im done! Placed an order which was a waste of £23, to be told on the app the meal was 40mins to delivery & had been delivered at this point. It hadn't so I called after 1hr 20 mins to be told no its not left yet "we have suddenly gone really busy"...not my problem! Deal with orders as they come in, not just who happens to walk through the door in between your on line orders! Another 20 minutes rang again & my Partner messaged the manager whose number she has on redial due to previous bad orders....but he was not in the shop. Eventually the order turned up. The donor meat & chips were freezing cold an therefore had gone stale & greasy. It was obvious that it had sat on the side for sometime. My Son ate 3 mouthfulls of the chips which were also cold & the lot went in the bin! The chicken as shown was pink & not cooked as shown! It made me physically sick as id already eaten one piece, again straight in the bin. The gravy was like some cold gluggy glue which non of us could even put in our mouths, discgusting. The hottest thing was ironically the coleslaw which was obviously put next to the chips which again is a health hazard tp have "warmed" coleslaw. We will NEVER & I mean NEVER order from this premises ever again. Too many chances given already with past bad orders & wait times. This order was a health hazard!!! Luckily non of us ate enough to find out! Funny how when the Manager is on site, things don't seem to go quite as badly wrong. As previous reviews state, we are not the first to be sent undercooked chicken! Absolutely shocking and more so that even though my Partner messaged the Manager with the problems that he never even bothered to get back in touch or to profer a refund! This place will start to get inspected im sure if they keep dishing up dangerously undercooked food. Its not even cheap. We will be taking our hard earned cash somewhere else from now on. Not good...

Ordered from here tonight paid £27 to get sent cold beans apparently they send beans out cold if they keep them warm for two hours they wouldn’t taste very nice that’s funny as when they first opened I had from there my beans were hot and so was my gravy what I ordered which tasted like pond water also I had two pieces of chicken and chips which cost £5.99 both pieces which were pink inside and a little raw I rang them and told to be told I can’t get refund I would have two more pieces of chicken sent out I replied with no I don’t want anymore it put me of can I have my money back please the fone was put down on me I rang them back they said someone would call me I got a call back they offered me £5.99 for my meal what I ordered I just think they were a bit rude and were coming in with excuse left right and center! What would of happened if I was blind or colourblind and could see the chicken being pink and but straight into it I would of been...

The food is great and the customer service is even better! I had the peri peri chicken wrap meal with a side of 3 wings. The wrap was incredible, good level of heat and plenty of sauce, each bite was full of moisture and flavour. Very generous serving of fries, which are better than most fast food establishments, maybe a little extra crunch to them would be nice. The chicken wings were perhaps the best I have ever had in my 27 years, crunchy, moist and just the right level of kick.

Inside you will find a bright, immaculate restaurant with friendly faces and plenty of choice for a great price!

To top if off, the owner asked me if I enjoyed my food, I told them they were the wings were the best I have ever had, so he gave me a free extra portion... hence the review!! Great customer service always deserves recognition.
