I came in with four of my friends hearing great feedback about the food. The waiters were kind, helpful and attentive. Now they had no lamb left at all so that was a huge disappointment as we all decided to order a mix shawarma each. We ended up opting for the chicken shawarma instead along with some starters and drinks. The starters were not bad at all, but the chicken shawarma looked nice and presentable but was very bland. When we went to pay our bill we all paid separately apart from me as I was covering one of my friends but he ended up paying for his own which I was unaware of so I paid £14 extra - at this time I was completely oblivious and thought the woman at the till was correct even though she was showing facial signs of distress and confusion. There was still £20 missing from the bill somehow and in front of me there was £20 on a plate and I thought that was one of the lads money and they placed it on there towards the bill and that maybe the woman on the till didn't see. So I then grabbed that £20 and gave it to the woman on the till and she said the bill is all cleared up. We started to walk away and then I realised one of the lads are in the toilets and he did not pay. I went back to the woman and said there's a mistake and that I think I may have gave you someone else's £20. All this was cleared up and the other lad came out the toilet as he was confused himself why he didn't have to pay and he did pay once the confusion was cleared up. We all walked out and had a cigarette outside and worked out what we paid as you do after a meal and realised that one of us paid £6.50 extra and I paid £14 extra. My friend walked back in to claim his £6.50 back which the boss who was wearing a blue shirt had no clue about. My friend also spoke on my behalf too as he felt it wasn't right but I wasn't too bothered as its a hassle. So then my friends came back out and say that he wanted to give my money back. I then walked back in and the guy with the blue shirt says whats the problem, I then replied I'm not sure; my friends told me you were going to refund some of my money back and he goes how much is it, I then said I think it was £10. He goes to say, first it was £15 and now £10!? He finishes off by saying you paid £1.50 extra so do you want your £1.50 back then? The gesture he was showing there was rude and disgusting as if he was trying to humiliate me, what type of businessman is he. I walked out irritated by the way he was trying to belittle me and make it as if it was all funny even though I could've put that someone else's £20 towards our bill and not say a word. On top of that I did not speak about the money owed to me until my friends told me to go back in and even then I was only answering his questions. So the way the sad guy in the blue shirt treat me is defiantly not on and I will never go back here.
p.s. guy in the blue shirt, gain some respect, morals and change your...
Read moreI recently dined at Shawarma Fattoush with my family and had an incredibly disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this would be a far from enjoyable experience.
The first red flag was the excruciatingly long wait for our order. We had ordered Biryani, a dish that typically doesn't require an excessive amount of time to prepare. Despite our patience, the delay was unacceptable. When I politely inquired about the status of our order, the response from one of the staff members was not only unhelpful but also incredibly disrespectful.
The staff member in question was more engrossed in her mobile phone conversation than acknowledging our presence. It was evident that our concern was a mere inconvenience to her ongoing chit-chat. Such indifference to customers is simply unacceptable in any establishment, let alone a restaurant.
To make matters worse, when our food was finally brought to me, it had been sitting ready for a considerable amount of time. The result? A Biryani that was lukewarm, stale, and lacking any semblance of taste. It was a below-par culinary experience that left a lot to be desired.
In conclusion, my visit to Shawarma Fattoush was marred by unprofessional and inattentive staff, an unacceptable delay in food service, and a Biryani dish that was utterly disappointing. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience, and I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously to improve their service and...
Read moreThis is a Lebanese restaurant with delicious halal food, and the decoration is nice. It is a bustling place, especially for those who enjoy Lebanese or Arabian cuisine. I have visited several times, trying various items, and I like their food.
However, it is worth noting that the food tends to be a bit dry. If you are not a fan of dry food, you might find it challenging to eat; however, the wraps are a juicy alternative. So, you can try the wrap instead. Alternatively, you can add more sauces to customize it according to your preferences. Also, I would like to mention that I have tried the chicken items here, so I don't know about beef or lamb. My friend tried the beef, and he found it not tasty.
Personally, I have no issue with dry food and find their dishes delicious. The waiting time was around 30 minutes, so make sure you have enough time if you are planning to visit.
The service was good overall, but on my last visit, I encountered one less experienced staff member. I think she was new and didn't know what to do or about the menu. She seemed confused and took a longer time to respond. However, the other waiters were helpful and active, so it’s okay.
The prices of the food items are reasonable, and there is free street parking available near the restaurant. I parked my car near the restaurant.
It is a...
