J J's Fish Bar and Chinese take-away — Restaurant in Newport

Food was ok! Standard chip shop food, though limited choice. The reason I have given three stars is because the lady behind the counter was very rude. I ordered curry sauce and chips and a battered sausage and the lady started serving four portions of chips in trays. I’m not sure how she heard four portions?? When I asked her why she was preparing 4 meals, she said this is what I ordered. She quickly slopped everything into one tray and slammed it on the counter.

I wouldn’t normally write a review under these circumstances, but she treated me like a drunk straight out of the pub when this wasn’t the case. The food was slopped up open with a fork stabbed in it. Not ideal to...

Today I ordered Singapore Chow main with no pork and little spice, when I got home the food had no flavour whatsoever and was very oily. I was extremely disappointed as I had ordered the exact some order from this place just over a week ago and it was really nice but my partner had a box meal with sweet and sour sauce but when arrived home to discover the box meal had no sauce. A wonderful team behind the counter and the service I receive on a weekly basis is always excellent . A lady named Toni (behind the counter) has even remembered my name and it really does make you feel so welcome when you are greeted with a huge smile and by name. So we now know the staff are great but I know you want to know about the food, so here is my review on their menu..
