Very disappointed with the Sunday dinner, myself and wife have been here a few times and had really enjoyed the food, however yesterday we reserved for Sunday dinner, we both had the beef, unfortunately it was inedible due to the fat running through it meaning myself and my wife had to leave it.
At the end of the meal I commented to the waitress stating the above and the service was terrible, I was given excuses stating this was how the beef should be, I did state this wasn't about having money off as I was happy to pay, but there was no apology.
I can safely say me and my wife will never return.
Edited: I don't need to be patronised thank you, you clearly struggle to take critisim and any chef with any pride would not have served those two cuts of beef, as stated above we have eaten here before and the wife was very happy with her beef, I'm not disputing the food can be good as again stated above we have been for a number of meals and very much enjoyed it, however your customer service and ability to acknowledge customer feedback/critisim is clear to see, I wish you every success...
Read moreI've eaten here a few times in the past....guess it would be difficult to have eaten there in the future!....a figure of speech perhaps.... anyways....quite a nice place to eat and have a drink.... traditional cosy....snug indeed....cafe restaurant pizzaria feel....good place to breakfast and lunch....the variations on Eggs Benedict are my particular favourites....not the cheapest place for a light lunch perhaps but the breakfasts are reasonable and the quality good....they seem to have cut their midday hours recently however....have never attended in the evening but I think it would be a fine environment for an intimate romantic meal.... Valentine's venue perhaps.... definitely need to book ahead....even for breakfast sometimes....you won't get a beer for much under £7 but then prices are crazy everywhere nowadays I feel....I would certainly...
Read moreThis place is a little gem hidden off the busy high street in a place called the ffrwm. The Snug is very popular for those in the know. The food is really, really good and does a breakfast to die for (also the eggs Benedict is sublime). The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. During warmer months there is an outside covered seating area with tables and a separated smoking area. The area is situated among unusual sculptures and further along are some artisan shops including a goldsmith and a garden that is home to some artwork. The whole place is very olde worlde and peaceful. A great place to stop off for a break from the bustle of life. A word about parking, the nearest is in the Bull Inn which is pay and display about 100 yards up the high street...
