Had my usual "Spicy Vegi" off them at Newport Coldra McDonald's. Later that week was horrified to receive a letter from some parking cowboy firm, hired by the grace of McDonald's, stating I had apparently over stayed my welcome at Mac's nearly empty car park by 11 minutes. These parking cowboys had the cheek to demand £50 off me with the threat of incremented rise to £160 for non payment. There is absolutely no way on earth McDonald's can ever justify that level parking fine extortion. All this for 11 whole mins. of excessive and uninterrupted enjoyment of what was a midget's eye-view of the M4 motorway from Mac's car park.
Addressed my strong displeasure about the charge with McDonald's staff but they simply said "didn't you read the parking signs"?... though the young lady who I initially spoke to seemed genuinely sympathetic to my plight, but higher in the chain of command all I was served was "wasn't our problem anymore".
Before being hit by their legal, yet unenforceable 'parking scam racket', I was a regular customer, happily spending approx. £15 each week (now how much is that a year Mac?)
Needless to say, all their unsavoury conduct left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth, far greater Infact; than any single item on their menu. I haven't felt the need to return back to their processed food line for over a year now and as a result my taste pallet senses seem to have widened substantially.
...now that I come to think of it, even that dazed and confused rat I once saw drifting outside in their car park looked to be rejecting their food. Poor emaciated creature appeared...
Read moreThe atmosphere depends on which shift is on, staff gossiping about clients, parking usually full so You have to park at next door business parking which they charging for. Found also piece of blue plastic bag in my food. Last day they had a visit and it was all faked just to show off, a lot of things like chair for drivers, table with deliveries disappeared because it looked bad for visitors. From observation and I've been told by staff, noone was on the brakes due to visit so they look nice and busy through whole day also putting manager in middle of the store to talk with customers and one of McDonald's staff on the corner to greet customers which is never there. A lot of days without a stock of sauces, cups for espresso also they run out of the coffee on the afternoon. There is always something going on in this building. With plastic bag found in a food no steps were taken futher, just simple "sorry" which doesn't change anything so be careful what You eating there and check your food twice. Attaching pictures from the day after a visitation, plastic found in food and parking beign overloaded, and mess they notmally keep. It is hard to report anything in this place due to staff knowing each other and hanging out together after work, so if you have any issues, don't build hopes it will be resolved. Food also left at the counter with no staff laying there and waiting for someone to just pick it up. Had to also ask them each time for each thing to my order, like fork for salad or reach tomato, which comes with selects,...
Read moreGeneral manager was wearing regular clothes and had no name tag while serving people. There was another young girl sorting orders behind the line without uniform who I assume was probably the daughter, what makes you so special? Everyone else working there is wearing uniform.
I went to order from the manager who had just served another employee from the front desk, after she had finished with the employee I went to place my order with her and was completely ignored and walked away from. Rude.
While waiting to be served, the employee lady who had just ordered asked another employee “can I just come behind and get my own food?”. Which is exactly what she did. I’m sorry if I’m being a bit out of touch here, but if you’ve finished your shift and you’re waiting for your order like everyone else, what gives you the right to forget the queue and grab your own food? Especially when other people have been waiting for over 10 minutes. Mad.
I then waited for about 5-10 minutes to place my order, being ignored by everyone, until I called a young boy over to take my order. He was very polite and I could see he was trying his best under pressure, big up that guy!
My order number was called by a girl (with an actual uniform), I walked up and before I could say thank you she turned around without any kind of...
