Had Sunday lunch here this week in a party of 4 adults and 4 children (teenagers). The restaurant is tastefully decorated and we were welcomed by lovely friendly staff. There was a set menu, 2 courses for £20 which was very reasonable considering the size of the portions and the excellent quality of produce. I had the calamari to start which was fresh and beautifully presented with fabulous little sauces and salad dotted around the plate. Three of our party had this and we were blown away by the dish. One of my friends had the spring rolls and she said they were delicious. My son had chicken wings to start and I got to steal one from his plate to taste it…really rich sauce that was finger-lickin’ good. For the main course we went for the daily special…Dover sole with a veloute of prawn and mussel…very generous portion, the prawns were huge and cooked to perfection, served with samphire, long stem broccoli and a side of your choice (we had garlic sauteed potato. All mentioned were really tasty and cooked beautifully, but of course the star of the show was the sole…wow! Just amazing! We had a glass of the house sav blanc to wash it all down (very nice also). My husband had 2 pints of Guinness which were really good…very creamy. We’re not big on desert so we left it at that, but cannot recommend this place enough…incredible food, lovely staff and overall a great experience! Thanks to all who run it and well done…such a pity I live so far away or I’d be in there...

Came for food after seeing good reviews online.

Got seated no problem and shortly after sitting we were asked for drinks. I had water and my partner asked for a coke.

Drinks came to the table. The coke was flat and probably poured from a 2 litre bottle behind the bar as it did not taste like coke.

For starters we asked for pork belly and chicken wings. The pork belly was nothing but fat and the calamari that came with it did not taste great and was luke warm. There was a sauce of some kind served with it but it was hard to tell what it was supposed to be.

The chicken wings came. The sauce on the wings was nice even though there was not much of it. Not much meat on the chicken bones and the bones on the wings where black once you got into them.

Not wanting to totally give in on my thought that it might just be a 1 off, I ordered the fish and chips as its hard not to ruin a simple dish like that. The fish was bland and greasy and the batter was hard as a rock.

We also ordered the Chicken Stack with mash and gravy. Chicken was OK but the bacon served with the dish was obviously reheated and hard. Overall the dish was poor quality

Having seen the many good reviews we were excited to call here for quite some time. However we were very disappointed with the food we received. I think it is the right thing to do leaving an honest opinion

Hate leaving a bad review but would not recommend to anyone

I do not wish for the owner to contact me or give me his...

Best dining experience in years. Excellent food and service in a nice comfortable and warm environment. Crispy pork belly with perfectly cooked scallops was a very tasty starter for me. My wife had the goats cheese starter which was beautiful too. So many other tasty starters to choose from including prawns and crab amongst them. For the main course my wife had a beautiful piece of locally sourced hake which just melted in the mouth (I tried a piece). I had lamb chops encrusted with pistachio drizzled with a nice jus. The lamb was cooked to perfection and all food was piping hot and succulent. A nice touch for choosing dessert was the fact that the waiter presented a board with all the choices on it. In other words you could see your dessert rather than blindly pick from a menu. Coffee was lovely too. Good choice of wines to choose from also. We shared a bottle of Prosecco which ticked all the boxes. Background music was a mixture of classic hits from the 80's and 90's which created some nostalgic moments for conversation. The other conversation was with the owner who approached us when we were having our coffee and we had a lovely chat about where the fresh food is locally sourced and he discussed his vision for the restaurant going forward. Overall, it was a excellent experience and we will be back to sample all the other different dishes that passed our table on the way to some other...

Raymie's is a locally beloved restaurant on Duke Street in Warrenpoint. This is with good reason as the food is up to a very high standard and the menu has enough choice to keep most customers very happy. There are no vegan options on the menu but when we asked our servers they provided the vegan and vegetarian dishes for that day. I had the mushroom risotto which was absolutely delicious. It had a combination of multiple type of mushrooms from Oyster to Shimeji which gave a rich flavour. They opted to avoid the creamy flavour and focus on the veg which I think worked really well. As much as I loved this dish it is a shame to see no vegan starters/desserts and would love to see other mains on offer for vegan/vegetarian visitors. Overall I really enjoyed this meal but would be excited to see what further options may become available in the future. I am giving 4 stars in this review but this only reflects the lack of choice rather than the 5 star experience we had. I would definitely recommend visiting Raymie's 😁

Very lovely experience, first time going here after Lockdown was lifted and it was very refreshing. The food was very good and good portions. Came in on a Wednesday evening at 6 and it was quiet and the food was quick to come out, 20. Ins for starters and about 35 for main course. Had lovely scallop starter and a salmon starter as well. For mains I had steak with the lobster add on which was lovely and cleaned of all the guts and declawed and the claw meat was stuffed in the lobster so no meat was missing! The steak was overdone as I ordered medium rare but was medium well done. Also the wrapped hake and potato gratin was amazing and very well done.
