The Bay Café — Restaurant in North Devon

Lovely little cafe right by the beach at Hele Bay with friendly staff!

Serving a limited but lovely food menu, with great options to substitute for vegan/vegetarian or allergies. With my partner having a dairy allergy this was perfect and quite unexpected.

We had their regular breakfast which could be made dairy free very easily. This was large and was very tasty. I even recieved another egg free of charge as the chef was unhappy with the first one! (Although I wouldn't have complained!)

Coffee was good, I had both a double espresso and a flat white and both were tasty.

Later on in our stay we stopped for lunch, the chilli loaded chips and tuna mayo sandwich were lovely.

Others in the restaurant had cream teas, which looked lush!

Overall lovely, we will be back if we are ever in...

This wonderful cafe, situated just metres from the beach in Hele bay is just fabulous!

Delicious food, cakes, and Coffee! Homemade scones, and cakes to die for. The Coffee is exceptional.

Indoor, and outdoor seating.

Specials board. Great breakfasts, and Sandwiches.

Outdoor Ice cream parlour, with a large variety.

Wonderful, friendly owner, and staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Efficient, and so well mannered.

Had a full breakfast this morning which had to be one of the best we've had in many years. The food was excellent, well cooked and piping hot...the bacon was particularly good and the sauté potatoes were delicious The staff were lovely too! All in all I was surprised by the standard (lets be fair, most seaside cafés are dreadful and over-priced) and can only imagine that the staff actually like working here and take great pride in their establishment as well as having someone in the kitchen that can actually cook.
