A truly delightful tea room with the most delicious food in wonderful surroundings. The owners are delightful and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We all had the most amazing cream tea. If it’s bad weather, get there early or expect a wait as they will be popular. It’s mostly outdoors sat under the covered and sheltered pagoda. Fabulous. 5 minute walk to the beach afterwards to skim some stones. Perfect afternoon. *note from the photos we had Cornish and Devonshire scone methods. Love this impossible argument!

A very interesting place to visit - 16th century mill which still makes flour. You can have a tour of the mill, see the film describing how it works, and, first of all, enjoy Devonshire cream tea - delicious scones with clotted cream. You can have a very tasty coffee served professionally with warm milk in a jug. The owners offer a selection of homemade cakes.

Such a beautiful and interesting place to visit. Short video in the gallery was worth watching. The food afterwards was fantastic, sandwiches and a cheese scone, followed by a fruit scone with Jam and cream. It was so good we returned the next day for take away. Can't wait to visit again when we are next in the area. Lovely friendly welcome.

This place is lovely. It's in a quiet (I went in April) little village on the north coast of Devon, set back from the main through road. The mill itself has been lovingly restored and is well maintained. A walk around the mill let's you see it's inner workings. It really is amazing to see the array of belts and cogs all working together. The mill is not wheelchair accessible. Opposite the mill is the tearoom, and it's easy to see why it has won awards for being the best tearoom in Devon. My partner and I each had a "mini" cream tea, which consisted of a pot of tea and a giant homemade scone. It really was delicious and cheaper than the other café's we'd visited on our trip. There was also a selection of 5 or 6 homemade cakes; some made with flour milled on site! We decided to get some cake to take with us, as we were both so full from the "mini" cream tea, and when we finally ate them they were just as delicious as we'd expected. Such big portions too! The Old Corn Mill is cash only. There is residents only parking outside, but there are other places in the...

The best thing about this cosy and warm place are undoublty the owners, they make you feel like honoured guest as opposed to paying customers. Very family and children freindly. They had special kids cups and a sippy cup for the little ones, sith puzzles and games to keep us all intrigued and occupied.

The gentleman was kind enough to take the our 2 kids and play a little outdoor game whilst we could enjoy a moment of peace to really relish the delicious homemade scones, cakes etc.

Being Muslim we were slightly worried about our diet but the owners were very accommodating and gave us a selection of non meat, non alcoholic options.

If you visit Devon, be sure to visit Hele and the old corn Mill, the scenery in the are is absolutely...
