Great spot for a dinner with friends. Flavours and ingredients were all super fresh. Rice was cooked beautiful and love the accompanying picked onion and cucumber salad with the dinner. Portions are very fair. I had fish Pakora, mutton curry and poppadom with rice. I would have loved to have to ordered a small raita but it was huge and it was just me that tried it. I would say that the flavours were great but would've loved a little seasoning. The Naan breads my friends had looked fresh homemade and stunning. The fish Pakora batter also needed a little more seasoning but the accompanying dip was beyond divine. Fantastic! The service was efficient, fast and friendly. We really enjoyed our evening. Thank you so much for a lovely time.

Went on a Tuesday evening in early May 25. Restaurant was busy. Booking in advance is advised (which we had done). We ordered drinks, a starter to share, a curry dish each, and a pudding to share. Could not fault any of it. Mutton Curry and Miolee Prawn dishes were delicious and the best currys we have had in a long time. Peshawari Naan was awesome. Dishes are very generous, so they will do a smaller portion if you ask in advance. Restaurant is really nicely decorated. Warm and friendly with enough space between tables so you don't feel like you're packed in. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Starters arrived quickly, and enough time was given between courses arriving.

Travelled and planned around visiting for anniversary meal (based on review) Well worth it. Setting is vibrant and sophisticated, yet relaxed. Tuesday night and still a good buzz of different groups. Host was friendly and attentive when needed (although very busy) We tried some new dishes for us, and they were great. Wanted to try the sprouts, but out of season so asked what recommended. Host suggested the hot bean salad with cashews - wow! We ate most of this before touching mains! It seems it's a family recipe which makes us wish to travel back when sprouts in season! Prices were fair and overall a lovely evening.

What a shame… our third visit to Tiffin last night was let down by bizarre service…. I have never been in the situation where we are still enjoying our starter…. Grilled tiger prawns, to dye for !!, when the mains arrive ??? No acknowledgment to the fact we were still eating our starters, the plates were plonked down on the table ?? Totally bizarre. We were with friends and being typically English accepted it without a word…. Secondly… the mains plates were collected far too quickly, one of our party was just finishing as the waiter started to collect the ā€˜empty’ plates…. About a minute later, we were asked if we were having deserts… we weren’t, the waitress must have god directly back to the till to print the bill and presented on the table….. quite strange, neither of our previous visits have been like that, we stayed and carried on chatting at the table for nearly an hour before paying the bill, so they obviously didn’t want the table back….. very strange…., but will make think twice about going back or recommending to others. That said the food...

A Curry Revelation in North Devon

It’s been hard to find a truly great curry in North Devon—until now. This place isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a curry dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the superb front-of-house team sets the tone: warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do.

The decor is modern and stylish, with excellent lighting and a spotless bar and toilets—always a good sign. The drinks list is another standout, featuring quality beers that go well beyond the usual suspects.

As for the food—outstanding. The slow-cooked mutton was incredibly tender, rich with flavour, and clearly made with care. One of our group asked for it slightly hotter than the menu’s ā€œtwo chilliā€ rating, and it was spot on. This isn’t your typical Korma-and-Vindaloo joint. It’s Indian cuisine reimagined, blending traditional depth with a refined Northern European twist.

I honestly can’t recommend this highly enough. It’s popular for a reason, so book ahead—especially on weekends. You won’t be...
