What a shame⌠our third visit to Tiffin last night was let down by bizarre serviceâŚ. I have never been in the situation where we are still enjoying our starterâŚ. Grilled tiger prawns, to dye for !!, when the mains arrive ??? No acknowledgment to the fact we were still eating our starters, the plates were plonked down on the table ?? Totally bizarre. We were with friends and being typically English accepted it without a wordâŚ. Secondly⌠the mains plates were collected far too quickly, one of our party was just finishing as the waiter started to collect the âemptyâ platesâŚ. About a minute later, we were asked if we were having deserts⌠we werenât, the waitress must have god directly back to the till to print the bill and presented on the tableâŚ.. quite strange, neither of our previous visits have been like that, we stayed and carried on chatting at the table for nearly an hour before paying the bill, so they obviously didnât want the table backâŚ.. very strangeâŚ., but will make think twice about going back or recommending to others. That said the food...

Itâs been hard to find a truly great curry in North Devonâuntil now. This place isnât just a restaurant, itâs a curry dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the superb front-of-house team sets the tone: warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do.
The decor is modern and stylish, with excellent lighting and a spotless bar and toiletsâalways a good sign. The drinks list is another standout, featuring quality beers that go well beyond the usual suspects.
As for the foodâoutstanding. The slow-cooked mutton was incredibly tender, rich with flavour, and clearly made with care. One of our group asked for it slightly hotter than the menuâs âtwo chilliâ rating, and it was spot on. This isnât your typical Korma-and-Vindaloo joint. Itâs Indian cuisine reimagined, blending traditional depth with a refined Northern European twist.
I honestly canât recommend this highly enough. Itâs popular for a reason, so book aheadâespecially on weekends. You wonât be...
Read moreGreat spot for a dinner with friends. Flavours and ingredients were all super fresh. Rice was cooked beautiful and love the accompanying picked onion and cucumber salad with the dinner. Portions are very fair. I had fish Pakora, mutton curry and poppadom with rice. I would have loved to have to ordered a small raita but it was huge and it was just me that tried it. I would say that the flavours were great but would've loved a little seasoning. The Naan breads my friends had looked fresh homemade and stunning. The fish Pakora batter also needed a little more seasoning but the accompanying dip was beyond divine. Fantastic! The service was efficient, fast and friendly. We really enjoyed our evening. Thank you so much for a...
