Really disappointed. Went to dinner on Thursday (21/03) and Friday (22/03) both to have nice food and catch up with friends. Both times prebooked online days in advanve and both times had very similar experiences. I’ve been to lush before and had a lovely experiences however these times were incredibly disappointing! First night felt incredibly rushed, barely put my knife and fork down and they were already taking away my plate (no exaggeration) probably approached by staff every 5-10 minutes really got the vibe they wanted us to go- baring in mind this was a 5pm table (not anywhere near closing and a Thursday night not busy) and we ended up leaving at 6:30 even though we wanted to chat because we just felt they wanted us to go. Wrote this off as a one off because I’ve been to lush before and it was lovely went there. The next day, almost identical experience 5pm table just two of us having a catch-up except this time they told us at 6:40 our table was booked for 7 so we had to go. If hadn’t have been the day before I may have wrote this off too, but felt really awful having had booked this table in advance and having to leave a ‘catch up’ barley having any time to talk between being asked if we were done etc every 5 minutes, feeling rushed to eat and then eventually being told to leave under 2 hours. Would like to stress neither of these days was the restaurant really busy or were there no other...

Booked a table for 5.30, but arrived early. The staff happily accommodated us on a table well away from others as we had our husky with us. Very friendly & attentive staff who tended to our every need & ensured our dog had a bowl of water at the table. The combo platter starter we shared between us was delicious & came to the table well presented & hot. We had 4 separate dishes for mains. The chicken & bacon Caesar salad & sticky chilli chicken & halloumi salad were huge & very tasty. My son had the fiery Korean noodles which lived up to their name & were very flavourful & my husband had the katsu curry which he thoroughly enjoyed. 3 of us were too full for dessert but my son had the honeycomb cheesecake which was presented beautifully & was rich & creamy. Together with the real ales & the delicious mocktails, especially chillin' on the beach, this was one of the best meals we've had out in ages. So much so we've booked to go back again next week! Highly recommended, you won't be...

I'm by no means a local and this is a restaurant I had never heard of before, however the staff were extremely accomodating, kind and one in particular was quite a laugh. Very much made the experience much better.

The food was brilliantly presented and the French fries were salted the way I like them, not too much and not too little. The burger itself was really nice, it had a nice charcoal taste to it with rich meat to boot, sadly though the bacon was a bit too crisp and is my only reason for bringing it down to a four star. Other than that, the main and dessert were very nice.

The atmosphere was quite nice, the music was modern for quite a fancy establishment, however there were a lot of younger people there, I say this as though I am old but I'm still in my late 20s. Other than that, it has the right ambient lighting and was all right a nice place.

The only other caviat is the price, however it is to be expected and honestly, it's worth it.

Give it a go, you won't be...

I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and ask everyone to take this rating with a grain of salt, as we went here for lunch and were trying to eat healthy. We weren't able to get the carving plate (Sunday's only) and had to order from a very limited menu, and decided on a burger and the hunter's chicken without BBQ sauce, and some other things that weren't at all memorable. The burger was rather average and unremarkable, and the hunter's chicken was especially dry and tasteless. The one outstanding impression from this experience was the excellent service- everyone greeted us with a smile, the waitresses ran back and forth from the kitchen to relay the plethora of dietary questions I wanted answered, they gave us space when we wanted to be left alone and was attentive when we needed service.

We came here for my friends birthday on a Saturday evening. Definitely need to book for evening meal as it does get busy. They have food variety, English, carribean all sorts really. Meals are a good size, will fill you up. For fine dining it's a good price per meal. Drinks are reasonable. Service is a good pace, they are dressed smart with a smile and are always pleasant. You can see the chefs working hard in the kitchen at the back. Some sofa seating. Food cooked and seasoned well, although my fish batter was slightly undercooked on one part so just left it, but nothing else to complain about. Will return soon for another special occasion.
