recently had the pleasure of visiting the newly opened Subway in Claycross, and I must say, my experience exceeded expectations. Despite the store being newly established and the staff being relatively new, they provided exceptional service, showcasing their dedication and professionalism.
From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly by the staff members. Their friendly and polite demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere, making me feel valued as a customer. Despite the potential challenges of being new to their roles, they were knowledgeable about the menu and were able to assist me with any questions I had.
The service was prompt and efficient, even during peak hours. Despite the high influx of customers, the staff managed to maintain a quick pace without compromising on quality. They worked together seamlessly, ensuring that orders were prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
What impressed me the most was the staff's willingness to go the extra mile. They patiently listened to customers' preferences and customized the sandwiches accordingly. They also offered helpful suggestions and recommendations, which added to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.
The cleanliness of the restaurant was also commendable. The entire space was well-maintained, and the food preparation area appeared hygienic and organized. It's clear that the staff takes pride in their work and ensures that customers have a clean and comfortable environment to enjoy their meals.

Note: anaylising others' reviews and watching their teamwork - somtimes they are slower than the usual branches. Food: 4.5/5 My preferred subway meals were excellent today; good helping on snack toppings. 🏅 (Note that if you compare to like subways in 'chesterfield', you'll find the sub slices smaller here. 😅 side story - last time I had a hot choc they took careful care with my hot chocolate requests. 👍
Layout 5/5 Despite location a assumptions. Would be nice to have had a multi-choice refill drink machine people love. (Happy ther's now a basic one). 😄 Also, the general layout suits the limited space this branch had to work with; (+ their bathroom is of very high modern standard) 🚻

There is no ordering at the counter anymore, there has been a wall put up between you and the food counter and some large touchscreen tablets that you have to order on (or use your phone app). So now there is no watching your sandwich being made, no more personal service, no chatting to the assistant while they make your sandwich. I don't know how someone that has disabilities is meant to order; not to mention that some people don't have much social engagement and the personal service is crucial for some, it could be the only conversation of the day for some, but this has now gone. The restaurant is basically now a waiting area. Why Subway have gone down this path I don't know and don't understand; what I do know is that it has put me off and might even lost...
