Regarding food in my opinion it tastes less, portions are big but more taste would be 5⭐

The atmosphere is very busy at the time and noisy but this is something that you expect from a busy place like this.

Service and communication were only 1 ⭐ we were very disappointed at first because of the lack of communication , miss information was given at the beginning when booking a table and specify our request. In reply we were notified that the restaurant is not allowing customers to bring their own cakes anymore because something happened. Fair enough when we celebrate our friend's birthday we couldn't believe what we 🙈 see!!!! Magically cakes are allowed. Immediately we questioned staff and asked for a manager, the person who serves our table it wasn't only the one app way though someone else was serving our table. When a person approached us most importantly didn't introduce himself and with lack of manners replied I am the manager, no name, no badge with the name, when we explained the situation he said rules just changed and go back to normal customers can bring the cake again, our reaction was priceless 🤬 Also are very interesting that manager was working in the floor as a table service???In a day from the booking rules changed miracle!!! Generally only one staff member was nice and helpful and the rest didn't show any positive customer skills!!! Shame because this could be a place worth coming back, unfortunately we would not be coming back soon....

On the plus side: Not much more to add from my previous glowing review!, except to say the food quality might even have got BETTER since last time AND the portion sizes remain EXTREMELY generous (some of the starters are bigger than the main courses in other restaurants we've been to!). Interior is still bright & cheerful (along with the staff!). On the minus side: it's still quite expensive to eat out here, but to be fair, EVERYWHERE is getting ridiculously expensive these days! But as the food is SO good & you never leave feeling hungry, it still represents pretty good VFM! It's a shame they don't offer discounted prices for off-peak time eating like some other restaurants do, but that's just a suggestion as we'd probably go more often on discounted days. As it is we can now only afford to eat out on special occasions, but we'd rather celebrate in L'Artista cos we LOVE it so much! Update (Dec 2024): Well, the food hasn't changed (which is a good thing, cos it's AMAZINGLY GOOD!) & the portions are still on the generous side (I've yet to be that hungry that I could eat 3 courses!), but as EVERYWHERE is so unbelievably expensive these days L'Artista is now reasonably priced! So don't hesitate, cos you won't be disappointed! (oh, & did I forget to mention they LOVE children at L'Artista - but no surprise there as they're Italian owned, run &...

takeaway Pizza, some assembly required....

Ordered a Mozzarella cheese, tomato, parma ham, and rocket pizza with extra chicken.

Pizza arrived, with the chicken cooked, however the Parma ham and the rocket were packaged separately in containers, cold, not cooked on the pizza as you'd expect.

Really really not happy, when you order a pizza, you expect the toppings to be cooked on the pizza, this semi-self assembly does not apply when eating in the restaurant, why does it for delivery orders?

Paid full price for the Pizza, with damp inedible rocket, and dry, warm parma ham on the side which looked and smelled suspect.

No indication on the website, or on uber eats that the pizza would be received in this condition, if so I wouldn't have ordered.

Additionally the Melanzane alle parmigiana portion received is HALF the size of what you get when eating in the restaurant, for the same price.

Wont be ordering again for delivery and I highly doubt with this level of service whether I'll eat in the restaurant again, wasted money.

I guess this is what you get for supporting a local business, rather...

We are regulars at L'artista in Letchworth and seriously can't get enough of the place. The food is absolutely fantastic (though they do make carbonara the English way, with cream in it 🤦‍♂️) The service is second to none and there is always a brilliant atmosphere. Today we went as a group of six, with my 14 and 8 year old kids. My daughter (8) spent the whole meal engrossed in watching the chef hand make pizzas. At the end of tge meal the staff were so appreciative of her interest that they brought over a ball of dough, flour, tomato paste and cheese and allowed her to make her own pizza right at the table! They then cooked it, boxed it and gave it to her to bring home, at no extra cost. If I could rate these guys 6 out of 5 for customer service I really would. Thank you gents, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Really enjoyed the experience! The food was great, we got the pepata di cozze and the festa del bosco as starters, followed by a pizza with bresaola and rucola, and one with ham and mushrooms. They were delicious, real Italian style pizzas! And the starters were so much food! We paid a little over £50 in total which is very fair. All the waiters are Italian, so this place is perfect for Italians in the UK. The place is styled with large paintings of Italy like the leaning tower of Pisa, Venice's rivers and boats, and the seaside in Naples with the Vesuvius in the background. There's also a painting of Pavarotti, and one of Stallone and De Niro. Overall I really enjoyed the dinner, and I will definitely come back in the future. Highly recommended!
