No 12 Coffee house — Restaurant in North Hertfordshire

This is fast becoming the best coffee shop in town. It’s not part of a chain so they can afford to offer something different. Try a coffe with a shot of whiskey for instance or any tipple you can imagine even a shot of bourbon!

There’s a nice selection of cakes too and the hand made Focaccia hits the spot for a light lunch. They also have a small delicatessen with a great selection of wines, Italian biscuits and vinegars. Also it’s the only coffee shop for miles who hold just about all the range of Monin Syrup flavourings, I had a Banana and Passion fruit milkshake.

The decor I would describe as modern Victorian Industrial Steam Punk ? Hehhe oh just go in and have a look. Oh and there’s plenty of seating outside. The place has been so busy every day they’ve just added more seating and a cosy Moroccan seat by the window. Hand made I might add by the boss 😁 Number 12 is an asset to the town and local business which is what we need with all the shops...

I love finding new places, especially when it entails seeking inspiration and new ideas! Well! Delicately placed in Letchworth Garden City, find yourself semi-detached from the U.K. as you enter the worldly bodied Coffee House with treats that will occupy your mind and time! They have such a cool set-up, selling all sorts of jams, nuts, oils, sweets, Gluten Free delights, Vegan delicacies... food for one and all!

The interior is a fantastic setup, wooden, leather couches, quaint lighting, and a projector playing classics! Recommended as a Go-to; for doing your work, having a business meeting, relaxing sit down, newspaper read, family time, or just a simple wander.

Staff are friendly. The Service was good. The cups were HUGE. The atmosphere was serene.

very poor service, walked into filthy tables and 3 of the staff were stood at the till looking at their phones. iced coffee came in a plastic cup, would have been nicer served in a glass. sandwiches were nice but served on a plain slate with no salad or crisps & sauce just blobbed on the slate instead of in a small dish. many little changes needed that would improve the presentation of the food and drinks. staff were lifeless, seemed inconvenienced when asked to refresh the napkins and wipe the table before we sat down. looked up to say goodbye and again 2 staff members stood looking at their phones. no interest in customers and no interest in doing their job. such a shame as it could be a lively place but the interior needs a good clean and refresh and the staff could be a lot more proactive and friendly....
