Their food is lovely! Place is clean, staff are polite. However, after years of eating there we walked out today. Now this is not a complaint as such its more to raise awareness..Before the menu change we took that we cant make changes as the menu had variety.. but now you have only one choice of breakfast @ £5.50 and if you don't like something they can remove it, but they won't swap it .. they will charge you instead ... and their excuse is covid.. they are trying to make it simple.. so if they remove the items we dont want then we would have to pay for the things we actually do like, which is the same as doing a swap?! Then we would have had to pay for a drink which started getting into the £7 territory. If we were being unreasonable and asking to swap beans for a sausage I would understand, but we asked for 4 items to be removed in replace of and egg. And they said no. Then the kids only had a choice of two breakfasts, either egg on toast or beans. They do have extras to make your own up but that gets everyone confused... why bother?! We went to town to a cafe, we all had exactly we wanted and a cold drink (which they happily said yes to when tea is the option). When we got there we saw another family we know, who done the exact same thing, walked out of morrisons and went elsewhere. It seems trivial, but we go to a resturant to have food we want to eat, not because text on a menu dictates to us thats what we get. Just want to reiterate; before they had a small breakfast choice which started at a lower price, so I didnt mind taking the things off i dont want and paying for the bits I do.. but now it is starting from a high price, it became too expensive.. shame, really it is. Again seems trivial, and you may say if you are not happy with whats on offer then just simply go elsewhere, but we like morrisons, and would like to eat there but there has to be a small amount of...
Read moreI was really looking forward to a nice experience but the food is overpriced, well under portioned but at least of a reliable quality.
Be prepared to watch the day go by before your meal is served and when it is, various items may be the wrong order. I ordered mushy peas and got garden peas, but credit where it is due they did rectify this when I went to the counter.
Very little chips, how cheap are potatoes!??
No customer service, little hospitality etc tables are dirty as they are rarely cleaned. Seriously disappointed for the price of a two or three course meal, you can easily obtain fast efficient service in any pub or restaurant. I've been to several morrisons cafes across the UK and this was by far the worst. Others arrived after me were served before me as well.
Would have been cheaper and quicker to buy the food from the store, go home, cook and eat it and return for coffee.
I would use the cafe for coffees and self service but after wasting my time and money, I wouldn't buy...
Read moreI don't know why I hate myself so much, but I decided to have a vegetarian cooked breakfast here and the meal wasn't only verging on something you'd find on 'rate my plate', but it was also missing elements, such as the vegetarian sausage and hash browns.
I was compensated with EXTRA baked beans as an alternative to the vegetarian sausage and the hash browns. In what world are baked beans a suitable alternative to the very backbone of a veggie fry up? Seriously if you want a reason to be in a bad mood for the rest of the day, then by all means have...
