My daughter Grandson and I went for lunch. Young lady behind the bar was very nice and polite. The food however was NOT! First there was no fish, so my daughter ordered a burger which she could not eat as it was so tasteless. I ordered the pea & ham soup, didn't seem to have any ham in my soup at all.. quite tasteless, doused it with vinegar to improve the taste. Read moreI came to this pub to make a delivery I was so impressed to what they have done to the pub. I came back the next day for a drink and some food. Unfortunately for us due to the music festival being on the menu was limited. There was 100 plus bands playing in this area. So it was a very busy weekend. If you are interested you must come and see it for yourself. Due to covid, due to the pub being closed the owners opened a shop inside. The pub offers an array of handmade sausages as part of their menu. Myself & the husband ordered the sausages in yorkshire pudding (his choice of sausages were Cumberland & mine pork & honey). Both were very tasty & packed with meat (sorry to fellow vegetarians/vegans!) & very much savoured. & The dish in itself was plentiful, although a little short on vegetables other than mashed potato, although I like plenty of other vegetables!
