The coffee wasn't bad but because we sat outside on their seats we were given a disposable cup. There were cakes left out on the counter, exposed to the elements. There was a giant bluebottle fly buzzing around inside the glass cabinet where the cakes were, actually walking all over the cakes. The floor was worn and dirty, we chose to go outside only because there were no seats left inside which I'm guessing is why we were given disposable cups.

The benches outside were dirty and there were huge spiders webs all over them. There were two staff members there that we could see. It wasn't busy but they made no efforts to clean the place at all. At a glance this place looks like a nice little coffee shop. In reality it is an unkept unhygienic business. If it was inspected on the day we went, it would have been shut down.

The benches were so gross that we decided to take our drinks and just leave with them.

The young man who served us was polite but not particularly enthusiastic a out his job or the business from what I could see.

Forgot to mention, it took an ages before the drinks were brought out to us. So service is also slow, even though the shop is empty. We only had ordered two coffees.

We've eaten and drank at some lovely places in Cromer, but this was not...

Went in here Saturday daytime, was about half full.

The staff were friendly and smiley. The atmosphere was modern and from the look and feel of the place I was glad I stumbled upon it as I was in need of a decent coffee.

Price was 2.50 for an oat milk flat white, which is fine.

Wait time - not much sense of urgency from the staff waited over 10 minutes for a takeaway coffee, with 2 drinks before mine.

Thanked the girl and went on my way. Cup was extremely hot so opened the lid and saw I only had half a small cup of milk that was overly frothy like a latte.

Once it had cooled down a bit I drunk some of it and I am sorry to say that this is the worst coffee I have drunk in ages. Bitter, sour tasting and burnt. I honestly would have been better getting one from a chain store.

Such a huge disappointment. Everything on paper matched up, but the actual product was awful.

It reminded me of Nescafe instant and it made me feel nauseas - I ended up throwing it away.

Honest review from someone who seeks out good coffee all...

We are local but have unfortunately never ventured in since its opening but have always meant to. So on a rare day just us adults we decided to finally see what it's like. I was so surprised and loved the decor and vibe of the place. It's very quiet with only faint background music and the quite talking of other customers. Lots of places to sit including tables and chairs, sofas and a unique raised wooden seating bar. The server was very kind and brought us our hot chocolates (my husband is by a coffee drinker and is already had my caffeine for the day). The Hot chocolate was thick and creamy and not too sweet which made a change. They have a nice range of hot and cold drinks, pastries and cakes and an unlimited toast option with spreads. All were decently priced. It has a very rustic but very clean feel and parts of the masonry are decoratively on show. There are toilet facilities too. Bonus for holiday makers, dogs are welcome. Will definitely be...

We came across Grey Seal Coffee while in Cromer and are very glad we did! The coffee was excellent! We tried a flat white and a American. Both were very good. They had sold out of their pastries so couldn't try any of those unfortunately. They sell their beans as well as other merchandise in the store. We did a take away but the cafe itself had a great relaxed vibe. If we are back in Cromer we would definitely come back for another coffee.

This is one of two shops owned by grey seal coffee, I believe it did have more shops in Norfolk prior to the writing of this review. I paid the sheringham branch a visit back in may 2019 on both occasions the coffee has been good. Only disappointing thing about Grey seal coffee is that it has contracted down to the size that it is today, North Norfolk could do with more coffee shops like this.
